InstantCheckmate promises court records, marraige records, arrest information, location of nearby sex affenders, related persons information, and much more. Initially no fee is mentioned. Then a fee structure is provided during the registration process. $22.86 for 30 days unlimited searches. Higher fees for more time is also offered. After providing credit card information to them, they advise that an additional $1.99 must be paid for receiving information in a PDF format - it seems the information can not be copied or saved otherwise. The report finally comes through; name, date of birth is about all I received. But, for another $19.95 or so, then I would receive the additional information promised earlier. I bailed at that point. Describing their services, providing a price, then after accepting, they do NOT provide the information unless you pay MORE. Unfair! I do not know if they ever would have provided the promised information if I had continued to pay more. It was clear they were cheating. I just wanted to see what they had listed on me.
I called my credit card company and reported their fraudulent practices. Chase advises they will reverse the unfair fees.

After reaching a customer service representative at Instant Checkmate, I found that some, but certainly not all of the information promised was found in headings on the side bar. Worse though, they showed two possible arrest records for me in North Carolina! I have never even been in North Carolina! They showed my son as being my spouse.
In all fairness they did have more than my name and date of birth. Just not all the information promised and described before I provided my credit card.
