SBC doesn't "LET" Integretel or any other company do business, they also don't "ALLOW" them to "VICTIMIZE" you or anybody else. SBC is a highly regulated company that must allow other companies to appear on the bill, no questions asked. SBC is not allowed to determine if the charges are valid or not, that is up to the customer. Each company that appears on your bill also has a telephone number where you can reach them directly if the charges are in dispute or if you have questions. SBC does recognize that you may not be able to, or simply don't want to resolve billing disputes with the company that billed you. We have a Third Party Billing Center that handles charges billed by companies other than SBC: customers in California can call 1-800-280-1996. We do recommend you attempt to resolve these issues with the company that billed you 1st, because all we can do is recourse the charges, which removes them from your bill & sends them back to the company that submitted them in the 1st place. But that company may in turn send you a separate bill or take other action, such as send you to a collection agency.
