Intelius, PrivacyMatterIdentitiy.com RIP OFF ALERT: Backwards Mobile reports, People Searches a FRAUD!! New York New York
I searched for a service that would provide a reverse searching service based off a phone number...
Well knowing how the web works, Intelius has purchased enough meta searching terms to be featured at the top of any google page. Being linked to this website through many other pages, I figured i would go with this service.
After enrolling. I checked back everyday for 2 weeks with no updates about my report.. No emails from the company about the status report. I log in one day to see that my request was canceled and that no reporting charges will be made.
But there just happens to be a second "partnering" company that you will be automatically enrolled in whether you want to or not.
Speaking to an Intelius "Customer Service Representative" (which they convientently leave you on hold for the better of 20 mins hoping you hang up)she rudely explains that the second charge from "PMIdentity.com" has nothing to do with them and that my initial charge had "just" been returned to my account. I asked:
"Why am I being charged by this company if i didnt purchase their services?"
CSR: "Well there is two places to enter your email address. If you enter it in both places you are agreeing to the PMIdentity service. It can be a little tricky" she says...
I call the second organization (888-840-6301) only to be told that i was sign up via Intelius even though I didnt directly agree to their service. I demanded a refund in which case the "Nina" explains that is web marketing and i was signed up as a "convienence" to me. and that if i wanted a refund it was my option. OPTION!! i was basically ROBBED!
