Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I own a small manufacturing business, 6 employees.

After extemely high pressured telephone sales call, a salesperson appeared in our office selling promises of great tax savings and huge business profits if we just let him call his associates they could come in immediately and help us grow our business while saving on taxes. OK!

Next day there were 3 men from IPA, ITA at our business dressed in suits asking questions about how we ran our business and acting as if every decision we had made in the past was wrong. After spending one day with us our "Project Manager" Peter Wallace said he had just the right person to be our company's consultant, Geoff Goldhamer.

Geoff basically sat in front of his laptop with a portable printer everyday punching in numbers he got from our Quickbooks financial information. He would show us information he had put together which was of no value, but did take up much time. He required payment at the end of each week which included hrly rate, airfare, hotel and car rental fees.

At the end of the project he said we would only see a return on our investment($65,000)if we put into practice everything he had recommended.(Most of which we were already doing before IPA, ITA became involved with our company). We had paid ITA and additional $5000 to look into our tax situation. After a few weeks we were told they were ready to come in and give us their findings but, not until we paid them another $10,000.

By this time we had had enough (too bad it wasn't sooner)and did not want to go any further with them. WATCH OUT, they have it written in the "Contract" that you must sue them in their state of Illinois. Now they have years of our business information, tax returns and customer names. They use this information to find new prey.

I would be more than willing to go after these bloodsuckers, we need a class action suit! Anyone out there interested? I have registered complaints with the Federal Trade Commission, Massachusetts, Illinois and Nevada Attorney Generals.

These people need to be stopped and brought to justice.

I am sorry to hear that you are in the same boat that we are. Fortunatly we have a great lawyer. He filed and immediate arbritration because there a huge holes in their contract and the arbitration board granted the leagal proceedings to stay here in Akron, Ohio. I can tell you IPA's "legal" department was beyond mad but there was nothing they could do because of their mistakes. It costs money to get a lawyer but the $5,000.00 in legal fees sure beats the $32,000.00 that IPA tried to get from us for 3 weeks of "service". Hope it helps. But get a lawyer, that is the first step.
