INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF POETS attempted to get me to share my hard earned money with them Nationwide
After my wife wrote a mediocre poem and received a non-cash "reward" from the INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF POETS. They kept bugging her to buy a book with her poem included.
I purposely wrote the worst poem possible (please go on their site and look it up -- "I Dig the Night"). I too have won various awards from the INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF POETS with various offers to have my poem framed, printed, bronzed, recorded onto a CD, engraved in stone, etc. for a price.
Now they are offering for me to pay to go to their convention in Las Vegas and see Tony Danza perform.
I don't see the connection between poetry and Tony Danza. Is Maya Angelou a "Taxi" fan? If he was alive today, would Edgar Allen Poe spend his time watching "Who's the Boss" reruns?
Anyway, this company probably isn't doing anything illegal, but is simply taking advantage of the unaware.
