Intuit Turbo Tax Turbo Tax is a scam service. They tack on additional fees for services you never agreed to buy!! mountain view CA
I went to Turbo Tax website after being referred by USAA. The package I chose cost $44.95. I proceeded to fill out the tax info and when I paid with my debit card an additional $48.19 was applied for a package providing protection from identity theft and other services I did not sign up for nor did I want.
So before hitting the button that says FILE YOUR TAXES. I called to ask why fees are added to a package that did not advertise the fees would be added and then you would have to be responsible to find a little box to uncheck before you paid.
HUH? Since when do you go into a store and make a purchase but in the meantime the owner of the store is throwing things in your cart you did not shop for and then says well you swiped your debit card!! Who cares if you don't use it or need it!
Finally in their guarantee they provide that "you may use turbo tax without charge up to the point that you decide to print to E file your taxes.
I did neither!! I didnt file my taxes with turbo tax , I did not use the service and they wont refund my money!!!
This is a bait and switch scam that has happend to so many other people.
