Invicta Watch Company WARRANT REPAIR RIPOFF Hollywood, Florida
I bought an Invicta watch -unfortunately- back in February.
Despite not given it too much use, in July the crown and stem came off.
I contacted Invicta and they confirmed that the repair was under the one year warranty.
After the initial shock of having to pay $28.00 for "shipping and handling" -which they explained it is so because they have to "send the watch overseas" (Guess not enough watch repair men in the US), I sent the watch in (thankfully via FedEx so I have proof of delivery).
After dozens of follow ups and explanations that don't exactly make sense, I still have not received my watch and I am fast approaching their "90-day" window. This was another surprise; I had never heard of having to wait 90 days to get an item back from warranty repairs.
So, to all of you out there, do not buy an Invicta watch. They may look good and maybe even be reasonably priced, but despite their flashy web page an general online presence, their warranty service just plain SUCKS and their Customer Service is non-existent.
I am filing complaints with any and all consumer protection agencies as the # of reports on this site alone is overwhelming.
