Iolo Technologies offered a $20.00 rebate for their System Mechanic software product.  The requiremetns:

Mail in deadline, cut out UPC code, copy of receipt and filled out form for the rebate. 

All requrements were met.  Unfortunaley the receipt was cut off at the date making the date unreadable (cut done by the store's cash register).  The rebate was sent during the time frame required.  I mailed the rebate the same day I purchased the product. 

I received the rejection on arround Sept 20th 2011 and it read Missing purchase date and Invalid postmark date.  The postmarked day was valid!!! The date on the receipt was cut off by the sales machine.  They require me to go back to the store and get a receipt from OFFICE DEPOT reflecting the date of purchase.  Well by the time I get the required information the "post mark" day requirement will make the rebate invalid.  There is no way to get the rebate.  

In addition,  I told them I could offer a copy of the credit card receipt showing the date that should have been on the receipt since the time constraints could not be met.  That was not acceptable. Only a store valid receipt given withing the time frame of the offer was acceptable to Iolo. Well getting a receipt can not be done in time to meet their rebate "time" requriements and thus I am here complaining.
