IronPlanet Services - North American Direct Sweepstakes And Promotion Unclaimed Prize Division- They claim i won a prize of 250,000.00, that i have not claimed. Preasanton, Ca 95588 Preasanton California
I recieved this letter 12-06-2008 from IRONPLANET SERVICES INC.. They say i miraculously won 250,000.00 when i didnt even enter any sweepstakes. They also say i need to call the phone number listed, and cash and send the attached check of 3965.00 to pay for the "NON-Resident Govt. Service Tax(GST) and Insurance. Then i am to pay 3721.10 thru a moneygram. Obviously they think that most people are STUPID, so i went online IMMEDIATELY, and put in the name IRONPLANET SERVICES INC. The first thing that came up was the site "Rip-Off Report". The page that came up was a report sent in by a lady in michigan. Amazingly- everything in the report she sent in matched the letter i got from them EXACTLY- except for the phone number. The last 4 of the phone i got was only 1 number off- meaning that they obviously have more than 1 phone on their network.
Thank you to Rip-Off Report for being there and standing in the gap for the honest hard working man, and protecting us from the IDIOTS that work so hard at ripping folks off and getting out of real honest work. Also, thank you to the lady in Michigan, for confirming my belief that this was a scam.
