Dear Customer Service Complaint Dept.

I am writing you this letter to let you know how outraged I am and let you know how horrible I have been treated at your Patchogue store. I feel I can no longer in good faith recommend your store to anyone who is looking for quality products with a good reputation. I am very dissatisfied & verbally getting the run around for the last time from your Patchogue & Main Store offices.

All I wanted was a quality kitchen set that wasn't peeling apart and that was safe for my family! All I have received since last year was a very expensive set that is dangerous and could caused grave danger to my family and friends (who knows what chemicals are in the finish that is peeling, cracking and rusting on my chairs going onto my table and floors).

Chain-of Events:

07/23/99 Ordered & Purchased kitchen set invoice # P- 0448

1-peuter 42x72 D glass oval table glass Johnston Casual base #2243.

6- 2411 peuter chairs - #243 Johnston Casual factory

10/15/99 - Received delivery of kitchen set. Paid bal. In full total of $2,166.00

12/11/00 called customer serv. about problem with peeling chairs.

- Service man will come 12/12/00 to look at chairs.

12/28/00 no response yet serv. Dept. closed until 1/9/00.

- they will pull paper work and let me know what report says.

01/10/01 called Serv. Dept., will check and call me back tomorrow to let me

know if their to be fixed or replaced.

01/10/01 8wks frames ordered should receive by early march.

- when they arrive in warehouse they will call to let me know to schedule delivery.

4/10/01 - I called, spoke to shelia of cust. serv. She will check into it & call back.

- She said Johnston Casual rep. Was suposeto call me.

4/24/01 I called cust.ser. she will call back.

5/10/01 I called cust.ser. she will call back.

I have to tell you how disappointed I am in your store, your employees and the way they can not handle problem with your defective merchandise . No one in the store including the manager was able to make the customer satisfied or provide actual accurate information never mind return a phone call. This I find unexceptable. I expected much more from a company that has been in business so long and I expected to be sitting on my new kitchen chairs along time ago.

I expect a check in the sum of $2,166.00 + interest from 07/23/99. You have tied up my hard earned money for to long and with all the aggravation and harassment I have received from your store I will no longer buy from you. I expect the check in a timely manner, 10 business days from 05/29/00. If I do not receive my check or the chairs that were suposingly ordered in December of 2000 delivered to my home & compensation for the above harassment & problems I will contact my lawyer, Better Business Bureau and Consumer Affairs and see you in court.

I am saddened to see that after all the years I have patronized your store that I feel this way and that you think it is ok to treat & abuse your customers like this.

I hope you will do the right thing and restore my faith in your company.

Island Dinette treats every customer with the same respect and customer service. If one client does not receive a call when they belive to be a timely manor, All I can do is apologize. We have been in business for many years and unfortunetly in this business not every customer can be pleased.
