Last December 31st, I was celebrating New Years Eve, with my family on this cruise boat called Island Queen. It was in Miami-Fl. We had diner and by midnight, we got to see the fireworks from the deck of the boat. We were having a good time. When we went up to the deck, to see the fireworks, I left a black jacket I had, at the table we were sitting for diner. When I got back to the table, the coat was gone. I asked who was the manager, and they showed me someone I went to talk to, regarding my missing jacket. By that time, the boat was getting ready to attrack at the dock. When I told the manager that my jacket was missing, I was expecting that he would at list, if not him self, ask someone to help me look for the jacket. I was expecting the cruise company to have a lost and found. I was expecting for them to give some support. Instead, he told me he didn't have anything to do with it and that he could do nothing to help me. I was very disappointed , because I consider the cruise company responsible for everything that happens inside the boat, when it is on the water. This way, I didn't see any other choice, but to call the police. I told him, if you could not help me, I would have to call the Police. He told me, go ahead. I called 911, explained the situation and said I wanted to file a report. They told me to waitt at the boat, because they were going to send cops over to do the report. When I told the manager that I had called 911 and they told me to waitt, he got very angry and started yelling at me. He called other crew members, and in a few seconds, there were 7 or 8 man around me. They were also yelling to my mother and kids. 8 and 12 years old. Saying things like, I was going to be beat, going to jail, this type of things. As I refused to leave the boat, following the police officer instructions, they told me they were going to drag me out. I told again that I was just going to leave after the police got there. So, 6 or 7 men literally dragged me out of the boat. I didn't react. I got punched in the face and got scars on my arms. They did all that in front of my mother and kids. Afterwords, I finally got a police officer to file a report and I got also an officer to take a few pictures of my face and arms.
