This company charges people for their product early. Then they tell them that it is their fault, they didnt read the terms. All lies, there are too many people complaining about this company, obviously it must be the company. Yet ehy take no responsibility for their dishonesty. The US is in a economic crisis and they just rip people off and laugh about it. the least they could do is act as if they are sorry about it. nope they just say too bad read the terms. Stay away from this company, they will take your hard earned money. Stomach that! P.S. The guy above obviously works for "thecolondiet"

I have read the individual reports being sent out towards this company. My experience is the same but monetary amounts being taken from individuals differ. I spent the $1.99 membership fee!! Then they put a monetary hold on my bank account for $39.95 and I do not know what for. I did contact a person at this agency. 1-866-396-5694 2620 South Maryland Parkway#969 Las Vegas, Nevada 89109 I did receive a confirmation code which is supposed to stop the debiting of the amount above. Never again will I do this. I hope someone in Las Vegas will go by the above address and see if it exists. I will try to pull this site up again one day and see if anyone made contact w/ these fly-by-night rip-offs. Respectfully, Ed in Tx

First of all: I cancelled immediately upon notification. ADVICE: When any "GIFT" is offered on the INTERNET, that you are going to receive something FREE... yes, that item might be free, but you must participate in 2 or 3 offers following after taking some long survey, and if you miss a checkmark, YOU HAVE AGREED TO BUYING SOMETHING YOU DIDN'T KNOW YOU BOUGHT, and BOOM, you are being charged. THEN TRY TO GET OUT OF IT !!! IT IS NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE to make contact with people from Grant Assist, Roadside Assistance, Travel Co., Book Clubs, Video Professor... and others... BE KEENLY AWARE and CAREFUL, and "take an aspirin". Grant Search Assist: Phone response (after they took out the first $3.97 for s & h for some CD which I cancelled and they were not to send, but it was taken out of my account anyways. CALL: 1-800-986-2720 - you Will get a human being. ASK FOR A CANCELLATION CONFIRMATION NUMBER, write it down. Then ASK for the PERSON's NAME in Customer Service and his/her ID# who is supposedly assisting you. YOU MUST HAVE SOMETHING TO PROVE YOU CANCELLED. GOOD LUCK and BE CAREFUL. (also if you send a greeting card from a FREE GREETING CARD SITE... be sure you scroll down all the way, and REMOVE any and ALL CHECKMARKS, or you have subscribed to something you didn't know about. I ordered the free package and it never came. i checked my credit card statement and i was charged the $4 shipping charge as well as the $30 for the month. i called my credit card company and put a stop payment on both charges. i tried calling the company GRANT SEARCH ASSISTANT" and the two numbers that were on my credit card statement were disconnected. i got this number 800-986-2640 off this website and when i called i got right through. they were understanding and appologetic and let me cancel the subscription without any problem. hopefully it will stay cancelled but this site was a great help, thank you.

You should have looked a little closer. I always research this stuff before I do it for fear of scams. If you would have looked at the picture from the webpage, the first thing you should have noticed is that the name of the company looks computerized and is not level on the building. Then, if you would have searched around a bit, you would have found another website (Grant Writer Pro) that had the same picture with a different sign in it. Again, the words look computerized and are not level with the building. You really should be more careful before giving out any credit card information. Here is the address of the first website...note the picture on the left hand side part way down the page. http://www.gsassistant.com/?h=M6233290 Here is the address of the second website...note the picture on the right hand side near the bottom of the page. http://www.grantwriterprofessional.com/?h=H36532392&e=4251 See how both pictures are the same with different company titles?

The number I have for IWS Grant Search Assistant as listed on my bank statement is: 1-866-370-7270 I have contacted my bank and asked them to dispute the charge, and also emailed to the addresses given above by the operator of Grant Search in Australia... Hopefully, this will result in a refund of my money, but if now I suggest a "class action suit" might be in order... Gayle Concord, CA

Having read all the reports here, I was petrified that the $60 a month charge would begin. I was still in my trial period and just cannot afford that kind of money. I tried the online live chat but they said they wouldn't deal with cancellations. I tried the number on their website 1-800-986-2640 and after a 45 minute wait, got through. They did indeed cancel my subscription and I was assured that I would not be billed. I was given a cancellation number so I know I can refute any possible future charges. Of course I will have to check that in a week or so but I'm feeling a wee bit better about it now. I would suggest to keep trying that phone number.

I run GrantSearch, a reputable Australian company providing information about Australian funding. Lately, a lot of email has been sent to us by distressed Americans accusing us of taking money from their accounts without their consent. We rarely do business with US citizens, like to keep our customers happy, and were obviously being mistaken for someone else. This turned out to be Grant Search Assistant, and it's not surprising that many people trying to contact them have used our email address, as our names are similar and their web site deliberately hides their true identity. A 'free' CD is used as bait to sign people up for memberships with monthly fees on a number of web sites as well as gsassistant.com: netsuccessnow.com, easyinternetbusiness.com, and RavenMediaInc.com, sbaexpress.com, fastsbaloan.com, 36hourloan.com, grantprofessor.com among others. They interconnect and redirect to one another, and by looking at the source code and the whois database I found the domains are all registered to paravisions.com, which has email and street addresses. We've been forwarding our misdirected mail to: [email protected] and [email protected] (they don't bounce back!) and recommending the senders who were victims of this despicable scam take the same kind of action suggested here. From now on I'll also ask them to visit this site and submit a report. If you're reading this and are still waiting for a refund, email your demand to the above and hopefully you'll get results.

I have had the $29.95 taken out of my checking account 3 months in a row. The second time it happened i called the same number that Dennis did & was told they would have someone call me back. No one ever called. When i seen that money had been taken out for the 3rd month i decided i was going to get it taken care of right away. I called one of the numbers that was on a flyer that came in my CD. They gave me a number to call 1-888-814-0634. I got to cancel that darn mess & the fellow i talked to said that they would put the last 2 months money back into my checking account within 5-10 days. Time will soon tell if it happens. Give that phone number a try & good luck to you folks.

I felt it was necessary to respond to this to help Meg in Oregon if it can. I have also a membership at Grant Search Assist, which I am trying to cancel. I have called their toll free number which for your information, is 866-370-7270. My call was answered by an "operator" who took my information, and said someone would call me back. My main reason for replying to this was to give you the contact number I have on my bank statement. They did answer as Grant Search Assistant. It has been less than 24 hours since my call to them, but hopefully I will receive a valid response. Also Meg, perhaps if the call was made and you can track down the phone bill, and/or the credit card bill, the phone number or a record of your call to their number may help you with the bank to stop the charges. That will be my next step if my call goes unanswered. Dennis Auburn Hills, MI
