 I was talked into having a room cleaned after I told Christina I would not be buying a vacuum. After an hour I was impressed with the Kirby as I have been many other times over the years. She kept asking questions that you obviously would answer in favor of buying a Kirby...(good salesman). I literally turned her down for the question so can I welcome you to the Kirby Family 5 times before I had realized she had almost been their 3 hours. I was interested and did like the vacuum but I do not make financial decisions without my husband and he could not be reached

She had told me at the start a simple no or yes was all she wanted at the end, she wouldn't accept it when it came down to it she finally told me that the 3 day return was my total safe guard that I could return it no problem if my husband disagreed so for that reason and that reason only I did it.

After she left I noticed she only left me 1 number to a Ben. My husband came home and was disgusted at the price and called Ben's number first thing. Within 3 hours of Christina leaving my house we drove to the address on all the papers and looked for over a half an hour, we could not find anything with the Kirby name and this is where we were told to return the vacuum to.

The next day I sent the cancelation in the mail and got a tracking on it from the post office it was received. My husband also spoke with Ben Lansford on the phone and told him we intended to return the vacuum and he did not want to think about it he said he would send Christina back out to get it. They showed up Christina and a lead, tried to show my husband some demo's he told them they were wasting their time tried to come down $1000 and told my husband that Christina was going to have to pay money to take it back, the lead asked my husband why we changed our minds to quick and he told him it was never his decision and that he wasn't here. He seemed surprised she would push me to do it without his permission. Anyways Christina said I don't have your vacuum I only have Kirby’s. He reminded her what ours looked like and they left.

Waited and waited no vacuum or call. I spoke with Ben a few days before the 10 day mark and he said I could come pick a vacuum from his place any =one I wanted. I told him that I had wasted enough of my time driving around and that we had let them know within 24 hours we needed our trade back and he said he would have Christina call me. She never did.

I have called local places in the phone book looking for a way to get a hold of someone who can help me in doing this I was told this Ben Lansford has a bad reputation around this area for doing this exact thing. I called the Cleveland OH offices to file a complaint they did not call me back i had to call them a second time. The lady told me they have 48 hours to respond to them but she said I would not likely get my own vacuum back. I explained the entire process and how that seemed really unfair considering all I had done in a short amount of time to ensure there were no mistakes about that part.

Bottom line is if you are going to push people and hang around in their house to get a yes out of them all on the prayer that most people won't use the 3 day cancellation how hard is it to keep track on a vacuum especially when someone actually returns the Kirby to you within 24 hours, and just common customer service to return peoples calls. I have now been 14 days without a vacuum and not really any confidence that I will have anyone be responsible and show up with one.
