JA Cambece Law Firm They called at work and threatened me Peabody Massachusetts
I received a call yesterday from one of the "lawyers" at this firm. The 1st guy I talked to was polite. He told me a certain card had been given to them for collection. I explained to him that the card was part of a debt management plan that was accepted. We argued back and forth about it and he put me on hold.
A so-called "manager" got on the phone and proceeded to tell me what I was going to do. I was going to call family members and get $1300 within 24 hours. If I didn't get the money, they were going to call the card company who would then take me to court.
As I tried to explain to the first guy, I was continually interrupted and told that he knew about people like me that charged thousands and thousands of dollars, then didn't feel like paying it back. I told him he didn't know who I was or what my background was and that I didn't appreciate the attitude. I asked him if this card company hadn't been paid in a year like they were claiming, how come they never contacted me and why was my proposal through the management company excepted.
He then backtracked his story and said they hadn't been paid since October and I couldn't prove that this company paid them. I replied that I found it hard to believe that only 1 card out of 4 or 5 wasn't paid and got a "That you know of" reply. I was then told to have the money by today or he couldn't guarantee what would happen.
I have NEVER been so humiliated or furious with anybody than I was with this jack**s. These people are rude, arrogant and the threatening really is low.
If anybody else has received calls from this firm, don't fall for their bs and DON'T pay them! They tack on fees and charges that double what you actually owe.
