James Dampier Carport Unlimited ofTexas In Brazoria Co, need WPI 8 for insurance, can't get because of the work. Deer Park Texas
Hired James to build a large carport and was told we would get a drawing from an engineer that we would need to take to a WPI8 engineer for our windstorm certificate. We hired a WPI8 engineer and he explain the drawing we could did not match our carport, came out and reviewed it and stated, I ran the numbers on the carport and it does not seem to work with the column spacing I recently field measured after repairs were made. This is a main reason why I wanted the end product on paper before repairs were made. Please have Carports Unlimited (James) send me the material list of all beams and perlins used with sizes and gages. James did come back out and add some perlins and beams, however did this before the engineer came him the OK and will not give us the WPI8 without material list of all beams and perlins used with size and gages. James keeps stating the engineer want return his call but he has spoken with him, but until we get the information needed we can’t move forward. We are hired a new company to fix it or take it down at this time, this has been going on for 5 months.
