I don't really know if you are the right address,
but i will appreciate your help.
I have an import company in Brazil, and i bought 320 oil painting from "varyart", a company in Toronto Canada.{i could have bought them from china for cheaper but i decided to pay more because i feel more safe importing from USA/Canada }.
I used an international transportation company named "JAS" and they gave me a Caught base on the origin-destination, dimension and weigh, i agreed with the price and they said it would take 4-7 day .
After about a week i called to check the status of my order and they said that my shipment was in "sao Paulo'' and they were looking for a way to complete the transport and send it to ''Florianopolis''[destination address].only a week after they said that they found a track..{we paid for transport by air}going to Florianopolis [Florianopolis is a capital city of the state Santa Catarina in brazil}.
when we receive the shipment the boxes were all soaking wet{the people that work in the custom said that they never saw shipment in that condition.[there was still actually water in the boxes...}
i took a picture before i receive it, and call Jas, they said that they would call me back and they didn't, i called again and they were very rude and said that it was the shippers fault that didn't pack the boxes well, i described the boxes condition and said that it has nothing to do with the shipper packing professionally, and now they say that its not there fault ,its the track drivers fault, i tried to explain that the track is part of the transport and that they hired the track and needed to be responsible for it but they said that the track is not their responsibility.[i don't even know the track company name, the track delivered it from sao paulo to the custom in Florianopolis ,i never saw that track...}
Few days later i received an email from them ,asking me to pay U$ 158!? saying that the track is not part off the deal and i had to pay for it. i said that i paid for transport until Florianopolis and i don't care if its by track or air..{preferred by air obviously...{i paid for air transport...]}.but they said that they didn't care, and if i didn't pay they were going to put my company name and the company that did the custom import process for me [called "first" ltda]on a list of a companies that do bad business {kind of a BBB here in Brazil...]
I paid jas more then U$631, i paid U$1400 for the painting, all the painting are water damaged. and now i have a company here in Brazil calling me every day asking me to solve the matter..{"first"} and jas calling me and sending me emails asking for more money.
