Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My family bought a Jayco Feather Lite in 2006 and we have had one disappointment after another with it. The very first time we took it out the microwave oven blew up on the first use, with in two weeks door trim around various doors were falling off. Then the wall paper trim starting coming unglued, not too long after that the alarm for toxic gas would come on and stay on even if we weren't using the trailer it got so bad we had to remove the fuse when it was not being used, Flash forward to 2010,and we realize our trailer had been out of warranty for 2 years, but shortly before the warranty was up or shortly right after,we noticed under stove vent the outside wall had a bubble in it like rain was leaking in,so we went around the kitchen vent with outdoor caulk hoping to stop the leak. The dealership where we bought the trailer is very far away from us so we thought we solved the problem. Recently we had the worst rain and floods in our area in 30 odd year history. After the rain stopped I noticed the bubble in the outside wall has now grown from one small spot all the way over to the window over the trailer sink and to the very bottom of the trailer. I called Jayco with my concerns because if there is water leaking in there it puts my family at risk if black mold grows in there.Jayco could care less and couldn't even give me a rational offer as to how to fix this problem. All I kept being told was the we were two years out of warranty and it was not their problem. I told them ,so your company does not stand behind their manufacturing because a problem such as this should not arise in a travel trailer after 4 years of very limited usage and we babied the trailer as a valued treasure? All customer service had to say in a very rude and disrespectful way is that it is no longer their problem because warranty is expired but the next 12 years payment for this trailer is our responsibility, even if the trailer develops black mold and can't be used because of health hazard. I wish to spread the word that Jayco travel trailers had a very good reputation at one time, but they do not hold up to that reputation any longer. I wish to spread the word to each and every family that is considering  purchasing a travel trailer to by pass up anything by Jayco because you will be paying for a very long time for a something that is pleasing to the eye but has no solid structure or foundation. From my experience Jayco trailers are built cheaply and hap hazardly, please do yourself a favor and buy another brand because while  you may get some  little satisfaction from a Jayco trailer while still under warranty, once the warranty is up you are basically non-existent to their customer service, All the while still maintaining your payment on you overpriced dream of wonderful family vacations. I always wondered why I saw so may used Jayco trailers for sale and now I know, Thank you for you time in reading this.

I have a 2007 Jayco Flight trailer with a rotten roof. It also has started corroding the panels outside of the trailer. I brought it into my dealer and was told the roof was good and caulking, but underneath the rubber roof the mesh used was saturated with water which in turn has eroded the frame of the trailer. The dealer stated during the years 2005- 2007 Jayco had used this roof callled tpo with a fleece backing, that has caused these severe problems. Two claims have been denied by Jayco to fix the roof. Better yet my insurance company refuses to pay to have it repaired because they say it is a manufacture defect. So, only option is to sue and hopefully Jayco will be made to cough up to pay for the repairs that need to be done.
Sincerely, frustrated owner!!!!

I have similar problems with a 2007 Jayco Jayflight 27ft trailer. The trailer was bought new in 2008. Recently the rear upper panel has shown severe corrosion from the inside out perferating the panel leaving corroded holes. The seams along the roof are bubbled up, and are growing larger.
Initially we called the dealer who stated that they could not do anything and to contact the customer service for Jayco in the US. We are in Nova Scotia Canada. We called the number. The customer service agent was very rude, and disregarded everything we had to say. They said if we wanted to tow it down to the US they would fix it for a reduced cost. They claimed the corrosion was a result of the climate, and that it was not a manufacturing defect, or defective materials. We can't understand how a 3 year old trailer can have panels corroded through into holes, and roof seams that has bubbled as much as they have. The trailer started to leak last year. We noticed missing screws on trim on the roof. New screws were installed and sealed by us, as the dealer wouldn't do anything. Here we have a three year old trailer that is falling apart, and in our opinion was defective from the start. The manufacturer will not stand behind their product, and customer service has been rude, and without help. Is this a company you really want to spend thousands of dollars on their product? We will never buy Jayco again, and I hope those considering one, will read this and take this comment into consideration in their purchase choice.

I am not sure as to how these folks kept up simple mtg on the pop-up but i have the same year and about the only thing that has ever been done to it was resealing which cost me 3 bucks and about 30 minutes work. One would think that if they had read their owners guide they would have know that the warranty is only 2 years even on their high dollar units. Sounds like they want something for nothing and it is a shame to slam a company that has the reputation that Jayco has built over the years. Use common sense and maintain anything and it will last especially when that product is outside in the weather.

Also the smell in the trailer seemed almost toxic,we were told that it would go away but after having the trailer the smell is still there, again in my honest opinion if your are considering purchasing a travel trailer do not even turn you head in the direction of a Jayco  Also I will be working on a you tube video documenting all the problems the trailer has given us,which we have not even used enough to wear the original set of tires out yet, please look for my video so that you can get a first hand view of how well the trailer has been maintained and see for yourself that the problem has nothing to do with what we have done but the problem is from Jayco and that because the warranty is up,they absolutely refuse to offer any type of solution if anyone else has anything to add feel free to add on to this post and I will try to get you complaints out also Thank you
