JD BYRIDER/ CNAC Harrassing, Liars, RIPOFF Ashtabula Ohio
We have numerous complaints, They constantly harrass my place of employment, my husbands place of employment calling if not everyday every other day. Whern they were the ones that made the agreement our payments could be dropped off on a certain day.
They lied about basically everything, accused us of having no payments dropped off when in fact they were and when I dug out my checks and called them back on the issue they still denied us making the payment.
We had to fix numerous things on our cars, They would always say it was not covered.
Also, Did you know the Garage Manager is also their legal advisor? Oh thats what we were told also. She even wrote up legal documents.
Please people of Ashtabula County and surrounding areas do not go there they are nothing but preying on the poor and they thrive on Ashtabula County citizens because we are the poorest county in the state.
Do you know we were told the salespeople get a bonus for finding locator vehicles, thats how they get the junkers on their lot.
Why is it they no longer have the option for customers to check out the vehicles on the net? I can't remeber off hand the name of it but for the longest time they were advertisiong this deal where you could check out the vehicle by running the vin number, and they also would give you 14 days to have the vehickle if in that time you changed your mind you could bring it back and the paperwork would be threw away. Guess what we were told they dont do that anymore! because they couldnt rip people off maybe..
Somebody needs to take a serious look into this business they have destroyed a lot of people.
We ended up taking monies out of our 401 k just to payoff this scam place, because we were at a loss, and when we did pay it off we had to pay MORE then what our reciepts showed!! Also dont think they are reporting to the credit bureaus good things they screww you over there too. So you are at a total loss they DO NOT help your credit standing!
They are liars, Scam artists, and Glorified BS'ers!!
They need to be shut down!!!

I have purchased two cars through jdb, the second cars engine blew on the way home from Youngstown, I had it towed to their shop, they kept telling me they were trying to fix it and didn't have a loaner car for me to use, i made 4 payments while they tried to fix the car, i wrote to the corporate office and they contacted me with a deal, they said, we will keep the car, payoff your loan, report it as paid in full to the credit bureau and give you back your last 4 payments! I was more then satisfied! I will always recommend them!

Sandi, you really need to contact the Ohio Atty. General's office and file a conplaint against JD Byrider. On Feb. 9, 2005 they just settled a suit with the State of Ohio AG. The AG would be interested to know that Byrider is still violating consumer protection laws. The phone # is 800-282-0515 and here is a link to the Feb. press release: www.ag.state.oh.us.
