J.D. Marvel stole my money....Don't let this happen to you...Fraud company....luckily mine was under 20.00!! My next call is to BBB, please do the same...I just hope this isn't a false company that supports our enemies in the east!!!

It's amazing you've had such good luck with JD Marvel! You should know, as part of an ongoing Rip-off Report investigation on J.D. Marvel, Rip-off Report Consumer Advocates/investigators have contacted 23 victims that filed complaints on this web site between 8 and 12 months ago. NOT ONE OF THEM have, (as of September 10, 2002), received their merchandise, nor have they received a refund.

It seems these people are left with no merchandise, ranging from unwanted hair-removal machines to slippers and many are even left braless. It seems awfully strange you would be the only one to receive Marvels merchandise out of about 600 filed Rip-off Reports, not to mention we have well over 1,000 e-mailed complaints to Rip-off Reprot.com. Chrissie, just amazing.

It's absurd comments like that, that discredit people with legitimate complaints.
Here are a few suggestions;

1)CALL THE COMPANY, E-MAIL THE COMPANY, WRITE THE COMPANY but for goodness sake make an effort to find out what the problem is before you go flying off the handle. Don't be an idiot, send them all the info they may need to help you, not just a first name. Would your bank give you info on your account with just your first name to find you?

2)NOTE on the coupons (I get them all the time) it says PLEASE ALLOW 2 - 5 WEEKS FOR DELIVERY. You have to assume that's from the time they get your check. You said it's been 4 weeks..jumping the gun a bit?

3)BE REALISTIC Remember it's a MAIL ORDER CATALOGUE!! If you wanted a product RIGHT NOW, go to a shop and buy it.

4)BE RESPECTFUL. Just because you are not happy with a service doesn't mean you need to berate the company or it's employees. People work where they can and most customer service people are good people, just trying to help. Would you call a hairdresser a terrorist because you didn't like the way she cut your hair?

I've ordered from this company of quite a few occasions. I've had orders come right quickly and a few that took some time (Backorders I believe) but I always got my product and a refund once when I sent something back. Even SEARS has backorders. Working yourself into a frenzy over a $10 pair of slippers seems a little pointless no?
