Complaint Review: JDM PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia Pennsylvania

Bought a transmission before buying it I called them on the telephone and ask them if this was out of a 2001 Acura MDX the man who identified himself as Muhammad said yes it was they would fit in mine with no problem and would not have to make any modifications. I told him the top look different he stated that something to do with extra cooling for the transmission everything will bolt right up and nothing will needed to be changed.

When I received the transmission I noticed it had pilot written on the transmission and marker and their eBay listing nowheres than its say it fit a Honda Pilot like the rest of their listings do. If it is a multi-vehicle transmission he assured me that it was out of an MDX. When I received the transmission I called him and told him more than just the transmission cooler was different that I would need to change the transfer case from mine to theirs which I was told was the same as mine.

There a listing on eBay says direct replacement fit I don't consider having to take Parts off of my transmission and put it on Thurs to make it a whole transmission work a direct fit replacement. The day my Mechanic and I receive the transmission he pointed out that there were a few differences. The main one is the transfer case was different.

I called mr. Muhammad he said he would call me back in 5 minutes 3 hours later called him back he stated it was out of a Honda Pilot and it was okay he is done 10 of them in the past and they all work fine. The phone call prior to that he had stated that it was out of a MDX and not a pilot and now he's telling me he made a mistake.

He gave me Andrews number and said I needed to talk to him, I called mr. Andrew the next day he said that Mohammad didn't know what he was talking about. I do not want to make changes to get this transmission to work. I called Acura dealership they told me my computer may not work on this transmission it is tuned differently I spoke to mr. Andrew again and told him this he said he would give me $50 for having to change the parts from my transmission to the other one.

To hope it worked my mechanic refuses to backup his warranty if the transmission is not out of the exact vehicle I have which I was told it would be I gave them the option of giving me back $125 for my mechanics time and labor to transplant the parts but I would still not have my warranty from the mechanic.

I gave mr. Andrew this option he told me I was crazy I was not getting my money back unless I paid to ship the transmission back to them. The item was not as described on eBay as what I got I have seen reports of other JDM throughout the country doing similar practices. This company needs to stop.

They state that their Engines & Transmissions have 45 to 60,000 miles on them I asked how they knew they said it was in kilometers and they did the conversion. It just seems awful funny everything that they sell that comes from Japan nothing has more than 60,000 miles on it. I just want to get my vehicle running and out of my mechanics shop.

It has been taking up a lift for way too long my mechanic is losing out money by not having that lift I am waiting to hear back from eBay it's only been 2 days since I open a case against them. Do not buy anything from these people they are a rip-off will tell you anything to get there used garbage out the door.
