Jeffry Haas the meanest photographer I've ever worked with, warning to all models

I'm creating this report to let everyone know about my experience with the photographer Jeffry Haas from Pagosa Springs Colorado.

Im a model, a makeup artist, a hairstylist and a designer. In my industry there are a lot of people that try to take advantage of you. Jeffry Haas tops the list...

Just a couple of months ago I was asked by Jeffry Haas to model for a creative comic book shoot. I've collaborated with photographers before doing trade or "TFP" time for prints. It was understood that I'd be getting the pictures from the shoot in exchange for modeling. But not only did I model I also spent 2 weeks making a killer outfit, coloring my hair, putting in extensions, doing my own makeup and then modeling for 10 HOURS. I told him I didn't want to shoot late and after being very critical and discouraging said that I couldn't go home until he got the shots that he wanted. Remember that I'm doing this for free. At which point I walked off the photo shoot.

You might know where this is going... A couple weeks after the photo shoot I asked if he had some pictures for me. He said that he would send me ONE.

I'm so irate that someone would use me for my time to that extent and every creative skill that I had to offer me a whole whopping ONE PHOTO.

I said I couldn't sign a release form without a fair trade, and he said he wasn't going to give me any photos.

He completely took advantage of my time and talent and had no intention of giving me my pictures or compensation. I'm a model. I get paid to model. When I work with photographers like Jeffry for trade the payment is in the form of pictures. I got nothing. Wasted my time and energy and was treated horribly both during and after the photo shoot.

I got nothing out of the trade agreement. If anyone has legal advice or help they can give me I'd appreciate it. I don't have the energy to pursue it right now although I will eventually.

UPDATE: Jeffry Haas photography friend Norman Dillon from Freckle Dog Studio sent me an e-mail rubbing in my horrible experience with this:

"once a shoot is taken, the copy right law in the United States, quotes that the owner of the photography equipment and or video equipment has exclusive rights to the photos, but can not be published with out a direct signing of a model release or right to publish discloser form from the said model. If you do not have a signed trade agreement and or model release he can do what ever he ants with the photos, except publish them. If i was him I would delete them all. Do some research before you loosing. OOOPS too late... Where are your photos again?"

These people are out to take advantage of models in Denver/ California and other markets.

Be warned.
