Delivery guy called back a final time and told me had been sitting in front of the Rohnert Park store (which was closed in the middle of the day!). He did not feel "safe" because he claimed he had been followed for 30 miles. He agreed to drive to the Albertson's store in Sebastopol to meet me. I had my step-father drive me there in his pick-up, and of course, he was not there. We called the store and Barbara informed us he had dropped off the couch there and we had to come pick it up there ourselves before 7 pm! We live 30 minutes away but agreed to drive there as I just wanted this nightmare to be over. She handed me a pair of scissors to unwrap the couch and watched as I cut my hand. I had to ask for a rag to wipe my hand as it wouldn't quit bleeding. She announced to me (in front of my step-father) that I deserved the problems I had had to this point because I had supposedly tried to get free delivery and 10% my purchase in the beginning! She didn't reply when we asked what that had to do with anything (and I denied these things had happened.) She refused to help us load the couch and demanded I sign for it. Told me it would take at least 4 weeks to get my delivery fee back. I feel I deserve not only the delivery fee at this point, but money for my lost time and gasoline in having to pick up a couch that was supposed to originally get not only delivered, but assembled. I had to have my uncle come over to help us carry the couch in the house and it took over an hour to assemble the legs. I don't have much hope of getting any of this. Please do NOT do business with Jennifer Convertibles!!!

Received another call from the delivery guy. Claimed he was 30 minutes away and needed better directions which I provided. He then told me he was by himself and couldn't deliver the couch if my house wasn't accessible. I assured him it was and was it only one-story. Then he actually asked if I lived in a safe area! I assured him I did. He claimed he was afraid because he'd been held up the last time he was in Sonoma County. It has been an hour and a half past the time he estimated he would be here and still no couch. He has not called back. I can't believe this is actually happening.

I received a call from the delivery guy at 11:30 am this morning. He was giving me a delivery time for not today, but Thursday! I explained that I was told it was today but he said that could not happen. Since I will be out of town Thursday for the entire week-end, I told him to either deliver my couch today or I'd call and cancel my entire order. The delivery guy is now supposedly on his way in his own personal pick-up to deliver my couch this afternoon. I am praying that the couch is in good condition. After all the trouble I've been through and reading all the other posted complaints, I am prepared for the worst.
