I took my Dodge Durango into Jensen tire to have my air conditioner checked because it stopped working. The mechanic told me they had conducted all the necessary test and that it was low on refrigerant and the filter needed to be changed. I paid $379.00 for my air conditioner to be recharge and the filter changed plus labor.
Two days later my air conditioner stopped working. I took it back to Jensen Tire and they informed me that I had a leak in my air conditioner and had lost all my refrigerant. They then told me that the "good news" was that it would only cost $632.00 to fix. I told them not to do anything else to my car and I picked it up. The next day I took my car to a little self owned mechanic my brother-in-law uses. He checked out my car and said he could not any leaks but knew why my air conditioner wasn't working.
I didn't have any refrigerant and my filter was very very clogged. I couldn't believe what I was being told so I took my car to another family owned mechanic only to be told the same thing, I had no refrigerant and my filter was very dirty.
So it turns out that Jensen Tire charged me for refrigerant and a filter and service but didn't do the work they claimed they did. Then they tried to perform a service on my car that wasn't needed.
