On June 15,2004 I received a check in the mail for $71.34, the cost to repair Jiffy Lubes Mistake. In this case it would seem that they say the error of their ways and did the right thing. I will never do business at Jiffy Lube again, but I must say they did come through. Let's hope that they use training as a tool for their employees so these errors will stop.

Since June 1 2004, I have not heard a further word from Mr. Venture at Jiffy Lube. He seemed at the time willing to settle this matter. I still have not received the additional forms promised me by the Reno Nevada BBB. I even sent a copy of this report to Jiffy Lube and figured they would settle the matter and I could post that here. Guess they figure they got my money and too bad for me? I will continue to tell everyone I see how incompetent Jiffy lube service is and distribute pictures of my damaged transmission plug until they make their error good.

On May 31, 2004, Dan Venture called from JIffy Luba and asked me to Fax him a copy of the repair bill.Mr. Venture stated that this was the first he had heard of this matter since he was new in the position at JIffy Lube. This was sent on May 31,2004. I received a message from the Manager at Jiffy Lube in Fallon, John,he requested me to call him back with my licence Number so he could look up the services. When I called back he had already gotten that information. On June 1, 2004 Dawn from the Nevada BBB phoned and asked if Mr. Venture phoned and I told her that he had called and I faxed the copy of the bill. Dawn stated that if I needed any further assistance, call her. On June I received another call from Mr. Venture and he asked if I would fax him a copy of the November 2003 service invoice from Jiffy Lube Fallon. He further stated that he wanted to put this matter to rest and would re-contact me. Will update!!!

On May 21, 2004, I contacted the Better Business Bureau of Northern Nevada.Phone Number: 775-322-0657. I once again spoke to Dawn, who was actually able to remember my complaint. She acted suprised that I had not heard from Jiffy Lube on this matter and even asked if Jiffy Lube had paid me the money for the repairs. Of course I had heard nothing from Jiffy Lube or for that matter the BBB since my original complaint. Dawn stated that she would send me some sort of complaint form to fill out. This being the first I had heard of an additional form since my complaint was submitted on line. Dawn further asked if I would be home for an hour or so and I responded that I would. Dawn said she would contact the representative for Jiffy Lube and call me back. Needless to say I stayed home for 4 hours and to my suprise, I once again heard from no-one. "JOKE TIME" Joke seems to be on me since I am firmly convinced that the BBB is there to save the A-- of the businesses'.This could be the case since the Business owners pay the BBB for it's services. It's obvious that they have either lied to me on several occations or they are a subsidiatary of Jiffy Lube. As suspected, I have still not received any complaint form from the BBB. Could it be that they are incompetent? I'm sure that there will be more on this to follow.
