On July 23, 2007 I traded my 2004 kia Spectra for a 2007 Toyota Corolla. The salesman got my address from the internet and actually came to the house to show me the new car. I was not prepared to negotiate but somehow let myself get talked into going to the dealership. The salesman drove the Kia.

When we got there he put so much pressure on me to sign. He scared me by saying the kia was driving bad and about to break down. It was getting late and I wanted to go home, they would not let me take the new car home so I could let my family check it out as they had promised to do and to let me think about it.

I was so tired and confused that I signed a contract. The salesman had gone over the terms with me on paper and I did not notice that the terms on the contract had been changed. I told them I wanted a 60 month loan and it is a 72 month loan, they promised me a $5700,00 allowance on my kia but the contract alowance is only $4000.00 I still owed $6000.00 and they added the ballance to the new car loan then jacked the price up on the Corolla which is used but I paid more for it then for a new one.

They somehow got away with this by only talking about the monthly payment. The only smart thing I had remembered to do was get a good interest rate.Well, they called Saturday and said the bank did not approve the loan but that they had found another lender and needed me to sign a new contract I knew that if God had given me a way out and I was going to take it.

I told them that I would not sign anything and that I wanted to return the car. Of course they said that they had sold my Kia. I called back to make arrangements to return the car and Guess What ? My loan with Regions Bank had been approved after all.

I was furious because I could not get out of the contract. Now a month later I have gotten nothing from Regions Bank and I know the payment should be due. But yesterday and today I got letters in the mail from two differant Auto Finance Company's stating that they received a loan application made on my behalf by Limbaugh Toyota. They both said they approved the loan under modified terms but that the counter offer was not accepted. What should I do?

I still want to return the car because these people are crooks. I want my 41,000.00 downpayment back and I want to buy a car from another dealer and this time I'll do it right. I understand that they have lied about funding for the loan and without funding the contract is no good. I know they must be comitting a crime in applying for loans on my behalf without my approval.

How should I go about nailing these crooks and getting myself out of this mess? Any advice please! ALSO this is a huge dealership that has been around as long as I can remember and they turn out to be the kind of crooks that nightmares are made of. Please Be Careful and Beware. It is a cold, cold world out there.

These people are crookc. PLEASE BEWARE. They changed figures on my contract that I didn't catch They offered $5400.00 on my trade in and gave me 0nly $4000.00. A few days later they clled me and said that my loan had not gone through with Regions Bank and asked me to sign a new contract. I said NO I wanted to return the car. Then they said they had already sold the trade in vehicle. When I told the manager that I would not sign foe another loan He caaled back and said that the loan with REGIONS had been approvrd after all The payment is due and I have heard nothing from REGIONS but I have received two letters in the mail from two seperate other lenders and both say they could not aprove the loan under the terms but would approve on modified terms These crooks must have forged my signature on credit applications What Should I do? I do not want to do business with these people and I want out of the "deal"
