Everyone has there own opinion on the matter. But J&K Associates has helped me grow and i have helped many people get a kirby in they're homes. The discounts on the machine are given to people for there trade in or other discounts that are avalable at the time. you only are mad because you failed and didnt follow through with the program you were given. If you put on 12 demos you would recive $400 but you probably didnt do that. as for your people that were mad. It wasn't because John. It was because you didnt do you job and inform them as you should have as to what was going to take place. The only rip off here is you decided not to do what was expected of you and now you are mad. There are many companys out there that wont give any discounts on they're products. Kirby just happens to do so only when they are in the persons home. That is a benifit for the home owner not the sales person because if there was only one price we as sales people could make more money. $400 a week for 12 demos is alot more then most jobs will pay in this depression. Anyway good luck to you and I hope you dont find this defencive but i dont think you saw the big picture only being there for a short time.

I worked for this company, calling people at there homes and being hung up on, the person who is supposed to set up appointments for kirby people to come in and do there carpets, do I didn't sell-THANKFULLY- Have you ever noticed they're ALWAYS in the paper looking for a lot of people?! every WEEK-there is a REASON for this. I went in to the interview and it seemed all very convincing, they didn't mention it was kirby until AFTER i took the job. They didn't have me sign any tax papers etc *silly me* and they said it would be paid training/and hourly pay. and they trained me for an hour, gave me a script and had me on the phones. There was a room with about 10 cubicles in it, all full. I was wondering where they were going to put these other 15 people they said to be hiring in the paper so I asked "where are you guys putting all these new people you're hiring?" John TOTALLY ignored the question and walked away from me. I stayed there for about 3 days getting hung up on constantly. I became friends with some of the people that were there about a week before me. One day they all started dropping like flies, one right after another. Soon, all the desks were empty except the other person who started with me? I was like ya okay, this is real sketchy. The thing that sent me over the edge is that they wanted us to set these appointments and we had to ask "oh is your husband available?" (If it was a female) and if they said something like "No, I'm not married." or, "No, I am divorced" we were NOT allowed to set an appointment,only keep them stringing along or make the appointment and the cleaners would not show, the reason for this according to them is "SINGLE WOMEN DO NOT MAKE ENOUGH MONEY TO AFFORD A KIRBY" I myself was raised by a single mother who also raised my 2 other sisters and my mom did WAY better WITHOUT my dad! This really upset me and totally went against my ethics, some little skinny (beep) would sit in the desk and listen to us and I told her that I thought it was really rude of them to be doing that and its discriminitation, she said if you don't like it then leave-and I did-HAPPILY! I never got paid, and needless to say neither did that group that was there for 2 wks. They have all these people working for FREE For them. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR GAS WORKING FOR THESE UNETHICAL PEOPLE! PLEASE!!!

My ripoff report is true and accurate. I have read other reports on here as well for the same company about John Harris. He is in it for himself and doesn't care about harassing people out of $2081. The vacuum says on the box that it's only $1331... hmm... Please people DO NOT BUY OR WORK FOR J&K AND ASSOCIATES. IT's a SCAM

John Harris is a great employer. Over the last year, While employed at J & K Associates I have seen this man go well out of his way to lend a hand, Teach, and coach people towards their true potential. I have seen John Harris GIVE an employee working here for less then 8 months a $6,000 advancement to help him get his life back togeather. When the Employee Quit, John Didn't even attempt to track down this persons debt. John Harris is a passionate Christian Man who Has always treated me more than fair. When we Hired A$hlie Gaigus (name changed to protect the persons not so good name) on as an employee, it was explained clearly that training is only paid out upon completion of the 4 day course. WE DO NOT REQUIRE ANY SALES OVER THE TRAINING PERIOD FOR THE NEW REPRESENTATIVE TO GET PAID. However, if a practice prospect is interested in any products, the said product is made available for purchase (at a discounted rate). A$hley is a very inteligent Girl, And I was super excited to be able to train her. Our first two days of training is an in office product overview, where all of our trainee's are completely saturated with as much product knowledge as they can retain. The last two days of training (as stated in the interview) are what we call the trainee's "Practice Weekend". Here, the new rep. is asked to set up as many practice presentations as possible. It is made very clear that no sales are required, for the rep. to be compensated for training. If A$hlie would have done no more presentations she still would have gotten paid for doing one practice showing. Any employee who completes training with five practice shows and 75 referralls is awarded $150 instead of the $10 per demo for just running practice demo's over the weekend. A$HLIE FAKED HER DEMO WITH HER SISTER. Rather then market the product, Ashley talked about the up comming wedding with her sister. I know this because I was the representative who showed up at the house to help A$hlie. When I got there, no Attachment had been taken out of the box or set up. The fiance to her sister was not there, so I suggested she wait to purchase anything untill she talked to him. IS THAT PRESSURE? I TOLD HER WE HAVE A POLICY TO SHOW PRODUCTS TO BOTH SPOUSES IN ORDER TO PREVENT BEING IN SITUATIONS THAT STATISTICALLY DO NOT SELL. BUT SINCE THIS WAS FOR PRACTICE WE WOULD STILL COUNT IT. A$HLie G@IGES CHOOSE NOT TO DO THE PRACTICE SHOW COMPLETELY, AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN TERMINATED FROM EMPLOYMENT DUE TO NON COMPLIANCE. WE WANTED TO PAY HER ANYHOW. SINCE THEN A$HLIE HAS CHOOSEN NOT TO RETURN OUR PHONE CALLS, OUR OUR SUPPLIES, OR THE $2,089 PIECE OF EQUIPMENT, SHE IS DIRECTLY IN VIOLATION OF THE SHERRIFS AGREEMENT SHE SIGNED. Effective tomorrow, THE SAID PIECE OF EQUIPMENT WILL BE REPORTED: STOLEN BY THE LIBELOUS SUSPECT GUILTY OF FALSLY POSTING LIES AGAINST John Harris (IV), and the Good Family Company, J & K Associates llc.
