Job Finders, Int'l, located in Irvine, CA, claims that for a modest fee ($4,500 - ?), they will provide you with all the tools to find you the job you're searching for. In addition, they claim they have contacts throughout the business world, which they will lead in your direction. They propose a one-day "seminar" to meet with a consultant, who will train you on all aspects of the job hunt. They further claim that 80% of their candidates get remibursement of the fee through sign on bonuses.

ALL THIS IS PURE FABRICATION.

In actuality, for that outragious fee, they provide you with a canned resume (which, by the way, I have been told on more than one occassion, was a big negative. In fact, out of the 100-200 resumes I sent out, I received 1 interview. After I personally revised my resume, I received 3 interview requests out of the next 10 resumes I sent out). They put your name on 300 resume sites (called an internet blast which you can purchase without Job Finders for only $49.99), and provide a phone number to take calls for you (which I used twice, equal to the number of call backs I received from the methods above). They also, do mass mailings of your resume. They provide a listing of all the companies in a particular area (99.9% of which are not hiring) and provide you with the envelopes and copies of the resume, you provide the stamps and the labor of folding your resume into the envelope and mailing them out. This serves to flood employers with your resume, which if you've spoken to the experts, is terrible for job hunting.

I've called them and sent them e-mails on numerous occassions requesting further help from which I either received defensive outbursts or no reply at all.

In the end, I found my ideal position on Monster.com a free service not even recommended by the Company.

Net result-$4,500 for 150 envelopes and copies of my resume and a resume blast. Their time with me was equal to my lost time from my consulting business.

BIG RIPOFF- STAY AWAY. GO TO A RECRUITER WHO COLLECTS THEIR FEES FROM THEIR CLIENTS, NOT YOU. JOB FINDERS, INT'L MAKES A GREAT SALES PRESENTATION. THEY WORK OFF YOUR FEARS, BUT THEY DO NOT DELIVER.

"Methink thou doest protest too much." You know, Ron, until you began your defensive campaign to smear your victims we barely noticed you. Now I think we need to pay more attention to you. You need to understand that this website is dedicated to defending victims. And that includes onslaughts from jackasses like you. You are the loser, bud, having fallen prey to one of the most mundane fallacies... We are dedicated to justice and fairness for consumers, and ad hominem attacks will not be tolerated; it's like being raped by you twice. The old adage, "Where there's smoke, there's fire," attained its status because it's true. We would have respected your company if you had applied tried and true principles of customer service and accepted responsibility for this debacle. It is our experience that those companies that go on the attack usually have something to hide. In fact, your tactics appear dangerously close to another major employment rip-off. Do you have, or have you ever had any connection with Bernard Haldane Associates (BHA)? Jobfinders International has an unsatisfactory business performance record including misrepresentation and noncompliance with promised services. Word of advice: Change your tune and take care of these problems to satisfaction. Read the BHA book of fate and learn. They are going down for their corruption. Repent, for your day of redemption is at hand.

A client for JFI provides background information on themselves,and we construct a job search plan for them. Our staff of senior consultants will identify the transferable skills of that client, and we write the resume ourselves to reflect those skills. Anyone can write a resume, there are millions in circulation. But the difference between a resume that chronicles one's background and one that projects the transferable skills forward is many time the difference between getting an interview--an not!

Next, the JFI research dept. identifies the market sector(s) the
client's skills will be sold to, and the companies in those sectors, and the hiring authorities within those companies. They are accurately called "target employers" and the introductory letter, envelope and resume is prepared for the client to register his/her skills with that company. A company expanding will need new executive personnel to expand; a company
standing relatively still will need replacement personnel. Having your resume on file with the idendifiable company that hires persons with your skills is a considerable advantage to anyone's job search.
