Do you realize that YOU can be sued for releasing personal information about your customers? You handle these matters in the same way that ANY RATIONAL BUSINESS handles such matters: TAKE THEM TO CIVIL COURT!!! Why would you post information about your customers like that? You can be sued and lose your right to operate a business by doing that. What is wrong with you?

How would I have handled it? Perhaps with some dignity and more maturity than you seem to have shown. Posting a one-sentence description with absolutely no details or proof to back up your claim, and then libelously submitting a copy of that person's photo ID and personal information for public viewing? I'm sorry - but if you think what you did was appropriate, then where are all the other posts from other video store owners about their so-called deadbeat customers? You obviously do not realize this, but you just revealed your unscrupulous business practices for all the world to see, and this will surely cost you business. In this day and age where Blockbuster is monopolizing the video store industry, little mom and pop stores like yours cannot afford to have so much as one unhappy customer. Too bad you didn't realize that before you had to open your trap, and cause the demise of your little seedy store to happen even more quickly.

This person had been contacted Twice by phone with no return. Only after a notice was sent by registered mail were the items returned. These rentals left my business on June 17 03. They were returned on Nov 23 03. I think I handled this very well since my total loss was $1300.00 which, by the way, wasnt paid and will never paid.Anyone who has never been in a rental business should try it before they make judgements. I was trying to make this look as good as I could for this person but apparently now the whole story is out.

What is wrong with you! Posting a person's personal information on this website, calling them a thief .... before even calling this person and trying to handle the situation in a reasonable manner. After posting this libelous report, you then contact the person, and he promptly returns your things as he never knew they were not returned in the first place. Sounds to me like you seriously jumped to conclusions. Everyone out there should be cautious before ever doing business with you. Who knows what other honest mistakes might lead to their personal information being released for public viewing. You should be ashamed of yourself and your so-called business tactics.
