I bought John Beck's Free and Clear package. It was absolute garbage. I later received a phone from a man named Ryan who was only interested in my credit cards. He asked for my credits limits on each card and my available credit. He said I was the perfect candidate for their program. Only a select few can make this program. I was then trandfered to a man named John Schultz. He said I will making 15-25k per month easily. Guaranteed me time limit of 90 days in which I will make my first deal. After more sales talk, he moved directly to my credit cards.

My first thought this money was going to be used for acquiring property. He was said I was chosen by John Beck to be mentored in Las Vegas. Later, a woman who sounded drunk, read a script to me. She asked if I agreed that this program offers on guarantee of income. I replied to her that 15-25K a month was what I would be making. She relpied " NO, NO you can't say that". I foolishly gave her my credit card numbers and within an hour they already debited 2 credit cards for a total 0f $10,500. I never received the contracts and never signed anything. I called after 1 hour to cancel, no one answered their customer service line at 1-800-266-5664. I called again the next morning and left a msg. to 'CANCEL'. This all took place on the 15-16 of June, 2006. Today is June 25,2006. My credit cards have been depleted. I called my credit card companies, I have wait for the merchant to credit back the money. This may not take place. Once they have your money, don't expect any back.

#2Consumer Suggestion

Sat, August 12, 2006

Dennis, Mentoring of America was recently sued for the third time. The Utah Division of Consumer Protection is conducting an investigation on them. The state of Utah is taking legal action against them, helping people get their money back because Mentoring of America continues to violate consumer protection laws. They are seeking to recover loses suffered by consumers to date from Mentoring of America. They got me my money back ($7,000 plus) after I filed a consumer complaint against them with the state of Utah. Two weeks after they got my complaint, Mentoring of America sends me overnight delivery a hand signed refund for the full ammount, in the mail. This was after their people told me on the phone numerous times that there was no way I could get a refund no matter what. They should have sent you an "Enrollment Confirmation" page that they want you to sign and return to them. Dont sign it. Keep it and make a copy of it. Staple a copy of that page to your complaint form and mail it in. On it, it shows the price, method of payment, what you are getting for the price, and a line at the bottom for your signature. Don't sign it and don't lose it. Fill out this complaint form below against Mentoring of America and send it in along with a copy of the "Enrollment Confirmation" page if you have it. Copy and paste this link: consumerprotection.utah.gov/downloads/complaintform.pdf Mentoring of America's corporate office is: Mentoring of America LLC 752 East 1180 South Suite #200 American Fork, Utah 84003 Phone: 877-704-6346 You can use this addess regardless of which of their other offices in Utah you are getting your coaching from. The have numerous other offices throught Utah. Take a look at this link also: wkrc.com/mediacenter/?videoId=10945=9 PRICE IS BASED ON YOUR OPEN CREDIT/FINANCE: Mentoring of America sets the price based solely on your open credit and finance. They will ask people how much open credit/credit cards or money they have available before giving you a price. They set the price in direct relation to your answers about your credit and finance. The more open credit you have, the higher they will price it plain and simple. They sell it for what they can. That's why you where charged $10,500 and I was charged $7,025 for the exact same thing. It's total BS. It's fraud. Type "Mentoring of America" in the search box of this site and read past complaints, you are going to quickly see that others have paid anywhere from $1,500 to over $15,000 for the exact same thing. It has no set price. It's all based on how much open credit or money an individual person has, plain and simple. GARBAGE PRODUCT: John Becks Free and Clear materials are just thrown together with no clear step by step explantion on what to do next. There is no system in place. John Beck's infomercial makes no mention of any mentoring of coaching program. The majority of the website links in the CD Roms and booklets are outdated and no longer exist. The information is old and not updated. Many of the techniques mentioned cannnot be done from out of state. The laws and rules vary greatly from county to county, and state to state. The rest of the CD roms are merely informercials. You are left with no clear idea or direction as what your next step is or any course of action, in order to make the money that you where supposed to. The "Tax Vantage" software CD that you get with the expensive mentoring program contains hidden costs. When you open the CD case, you find inside a note with a phone number telling you to call the "Tax Club" in order to activate and use the program. This is a reoccuring monthly charge that you must pay in order to use this software, as well as other costs. You are never told about this prior to. The expensive 30 minute weekly coaching calls, is merely general public knowledge with free public websites that anyone can find for free or at little cost, online or at the local library. PHONY COACHES: The so called professional coaches from Mentoring of America that you where coerced and mislead into paying thousands dollars to learn from by John Beck's employees, are regular people who answered a local Utah classified general help wanted ad that Mentoring of America places in it's local Utah papers to hire. They advertise a job helping real estate clients over the phone and real estate coaching over the phone. These so called professionals are simply regular employees who looked for a job in the Utah paper, drive to work everyday, have a boss, probably have no prior real estate experience of any kind, and follow scripts and some training call curriculum to teach you on the phone what to do. And all this is merely free general public knowlege readily available to you online or the local library. It's total rip off. Here's one of Mentoring of America's actual ads from a local Utah newspaper. This is how they hire these phony coaches. Real Estate Coaching Inside Sales Hot Buyer leads / No cold calling Call: 877-704-6346 ext 4003 So bacically a John Beck salesman misleads and coerces you into paying thosands of dollars based on your available credit, just to learn free general public knowlege from someone who is definately not the experienced real estate professional you where told they where. FRAUD COLLECTION AGENCY: John Beck has been known to use a collection agency called EPN to contact you if you do end up successfully reversing the charges on your credit card. It's an attempt to try and collect back the money that is rightfully yours if you win a dispute with your credit card company. They will threaten to ruin your credit if you do not pay back the money, which is rightfully yours. LIES, FALSE PROMISES, AND FAKE GUARANTEES They always tell everyone they speak with about this garbage program, that John Beck is only looking to work with a select few individuals. That they are looking for ideal candidates to make success testimonals for their new upcoming infomercial. This is not true. It's a lie and a sales tactic used to instill a sense of urgency within you to get you to make an implulse buy. To create a false sense of time and urgency. They tell everyone that same BS line. They are really looking for anyone and everyone they can get to enroll. Weather you talked to them 3 years ago or just today, they will still use that same BS story on you. Also, they tell you that they must ask you questions to see if you qualify. Again, this is all BS. No matter what your answers or how wrong or stupid they are, the will accept you. They simply use this to establish a sense of authority upon you. That they are important, and that you should try to impress them with good answers. Just remember, it's more likely that they cold called you in the first place, without your request. They are looking for you. And this BS line is used to make you forget who actually called who first. By now you know that the price of the program is based solely on an individual's open credit or finances. In addition, since the salesman from the offices of John Beck that you speak with knows that you are most likely not recording the call on tape, they are free to give you any type of fake money back gurantee or promise. And that's what they do. They can guarantee you that you will make your money back in x ammount of days, money back guarantees, promises ect, ect. Whatever it takes to get you to enroll into this gargabe. They know that once the call is over and they have your credit card info to bill you, that if you later decide you want a refund, you will not be able to prove to anyone such promises or guarantees where made to you. It will be their word against yours. And your word won't matter to them. They only begin to tape record once you are agreeing to enroll in the program. Here, the saleman will connect you to a representative who informs you that the call must be recorded for safety reasons. The salesman will standy by listening quitely in the background. If you have a concern or disagreement with any of the terms this person explains to you, against what you where told earlier by the salesman, the sleasy salesman will jump back on the call and slick everything over. He will reasure you and sugar coat whatever was said and convince you to carry on and agree to the terms anyway. They don't honor refunds or 3 day cancellations. They won't call you back if you leave a messege about a refund or e-mails. They also won't answer the phone or return your calls if you call back well within the 3 day right to cancel period after you buy, no matter what time you call, how long you call, or how many messeges you leave them. They simply do that to stall out your 3 day window to cancel so they won't have to give you a refund. They also tell you that your 3 days right to cancell is after you get your materials in the mail. This is a lie to get you to stall out your 3 day period. The 3 day period begins after you enroll over the phone, not when you materials arrive. By telling you that, your 3 day right to cancell will have already been long passed. A lowly John Beck employee named JAYDER SALAZAR gave me a fake 100% money back guarantee and also guaranteed me that I would make $40K in 2 months if I did what the coaches told me to do. The refund guarantee was completely false, Mentoring of America's people denied everything, and I did what the coaches told me, Never made any money with the coaching info. Soon after, this JAYDER SALAZAR guy dissapears. He never once answered his phone after the sale. Then the phone number was no longer in service. At the end of the day, I have the last laught and all of my money back in my hands.
