I have made a discovery.
A certain Max Donner, according to the article at the following link, is a Board Director of the World Art Foundation:(((Redacted)))
That same Max Donner serves as the "San Diego Art Examiner" for Examiner.com He's written various Examiner articles promoting WAF, without noting on the same pages as the published articles that he is a WAF Board Director.
Doing that is not ethical. Here's a sample Donner Examiner article promoting WAF: (((Redacted)))
What's more, Donner's Examiner articles are then reproduced on the WAF website *without* any by-line, that is to say, without Donner's name attached to them. And that is to say, WAF is making it look as though Examiner.com independently decided to report on and praise WAF, when in fact, it was a WAF Board Director who wrote the pieces praising WAF.
You can see those articles on the WAF site here:(((Redacted)))
This is not how business people who want to convey an impression of consistent integrity would behave.

My sole further interest as regards publisher JoJo Marengo would be in seeing that he not behave unethically towards other freelancers.
I presented my case with full documentation for it to Ms. Angela Hoy of Writers Weekly.
Persons interested in knowing her opinion of whether contracting with JoJo Marengo is an acceptable risk may contact her directly.

JOJO MARENGO Ripoff? Impossible.
Scott Rose is a harasser who does not accept the truth of the
matter. Extortion is his game.
Umbrella publishing did not have any agreement written or oral
with Scott Rose for any other articles and none was used.
Scott Rose did not send the releases showing that he has the right
to resell any pieces. Printing any of these articles would have exposed
Umbrella publishing to possible lawsuits form the legal owners of the articles.
Therefore, Umbrella Publishing terminated any future relationship with
Scott Rose.
The word in the publshing world is that Scott Rose is a harasser who keeps on you by posting balckmail and extornion letters. Extortion is his game.
Publishers, who are not aware of Scott Roses shananigans, beware of this extortionist. Dealing with him might cost you dearly. The proof is right here in his postings. Read them and you can decide if you want to deal with such a person

JOJO MARENGO Ripoff? Impossible.
Scott Rose is a harasser who does not accept the truth of the matter. Extortion is his game.
In 2007 Scott Rose approached Umbrella publishing on line and offered to sell them articles on caviar and wine. Umbrella publishing asked for a sample of the articles. He sent only one article titled Caviar. Umbrella publishing agreed to buy the article and printed it. Scot Rose was paid the agreed upon price in full. He never sent Umbrella Publishing any other articles.
Umbrella publishing did not have any agreement written or oral with Scott Rose for any other articles and none was used.
Scott Rose was asked to provide a release from the previous publisher allowing the use of the caviar article as well as any other articles Umbrella publishing would consider purchasing from him. Scott Rose responded with the following: Note that I do not at this time have resale rights to this piece.
Scott Rose did not send the releases showing that he has the right to resell any pieces. Printing any of these articles would have exposed Umbrella publishing to possible lawsuits form the legal owners of the articles. Therefore,Umbrella Publishing terminated any future relationship with Scott Rose.
Although he has been paid in full by Umbrella Publishing for the printed article Scott Rose he keeps harassing Umbrella Publishing to pay him for articles that Umbrella publishing did not print. He has been posting vulgar posting on various blogs hoping to blackmail Umbrella Publishing to pay them for articles that they did not contract nor print.
Umbrella Publishing does not have an address for Scott Rose to serve him legal harassment and blackmail summons.
Publishers beware of this would be extortionist. Dealing with him might cost you dearly

I guess anyone can write whatever they want on cyber space. These are insinuations, innuendos and lies. The accusations are not substantiated with address of the office, name of the landlord or any of alleged individuals mentioned. Just childish nonsense. If these allegations were true the people who lost their money or the landlord would have identified themselves. Our lawyers are looking for this Scott Rose writer to serve him with defamation papers. He has no address, no office and nowhere to be found. If someone owes you money you take them to small claim court and the matter is closed. The past 3 years this individual has been trying to make a name for himself by harassing us on cyber world. Publishers be careful not to be untangled with this, obviously, deranged man

Publisher JoJo Marengo, a serial scammer, has now started something called the World Art Institute. Involved with him in it are Monique Marengo and Antoine Marengo. After I involved writer's advocate Angela Hoy of Writer's Weekly in an attempt to collect the $750 of contractual obligations JoJo Marengo has not yet paid me, I heard from other victims of JoJo Marengo in California. One was an advertiser in one of his magazines, from whom he had taken money without ever running an ad. That person told me he was suing JoJo Marengo, and that when the papers server arrived at JoJo Marengo's office, they found a commercial property landlord telling him and showing him that JoJo Marengo had fled the premises, leaving them in a total mess, the night before the lease was to run out. That victim of JoJo Marengo however found a new address for him and the papers were served there. I have communications from other victims of JoJo Marengo. Again, names of people involved in the serial scamming include JoJo Marengo, Monique Marengo and Antoine Marengo. They have now started The World Art Institute, and again, that is The World Art Institute. Do not trust these serial scammers with a penny of your money. Do not waste on second of your professional time on them. They will cheat you, steal from you, and lie. Again: JoJo Marengo, Antoine Marengo, Monique Marengo; serial scammers, cheats, thieves, liars

Mr. Marengo made a rebuttal to my original Ripoffreport against him in which he made documentably false claims about the nature of the business agreement between us, and about the nature and content of the communications between us. At this point I realize there is no hope for me to collect the $750 this shameless crook owes me. I will not waste my time presenting the evidence here. The famed writer's advocate Ms. Angela Hoy has seen all of the documentation related to my having been so shamelessly cheated and stolen from by Mr. JoJo Marengo of Umbrella Publishing and Orange County's Best. Writers wishing to assess the situation in greater detail should contact Ms. Hoy through WritersWeekly. In addition to the bedrock documentation of how Mr. JoJo Marengo so shamelessly cheated me and stole from me, Ms. Hoy has direct knowledge of how Mr. JoJo Marengo attempted to use a lawyer to intimidate us out of publishing the complaint against Mr. JoJo Marengo and Umbrella Publishing and Orange County's Best magazine. The lawyer was sent the relevant documentation but never replied to it.

To whom it may concern Although there is no contract with Mr. R, we acknowledge that we did want to use 4 articles that were commissioned and paid for by another publication. Mr. R sent us the Caviar article we printed it and we paid him the agreed upon price. We asked Mr. R to send us a release that we can use the caviar as well as the other three articles. Mr. R wrote to us the following As a sample of what such a piece would look like, I attach an article on Haut-Brion white wines that I wrote for an upcoming issue of The Affluent Page magazine (www.theaffluentpage.com) Note that I do not at this time have resale rights to this piece. Mr. R did not send the releases showing that he has the right to resell the 4 pieces. Printing any of these articles would have exposed us to a possible lawsuit form the legal owners of the stories. Therefore, we pulled out the Haut-Brion article and terminated our relationship with Mr. R.
