Jon Johnson Harmful Shoeing Practices; Willful Disregard Winchester, Kansas
I called Jon Johnson to put show shoes on one of our horses. I specifically told him NOT to put more than 16 oz. on his feet. After Jon left, I could see that the angles on the front feet were way too low, and that they didn't measure the same length -- there was a quarter of an inch difference.
After calling him for three weeks to come out and fix this, he left me one message. Then the horse, out of balance with heavily-weighted shoes, developed a physical problem due to Jon's shoeing.
When I finish with all of the medical bills incurred because of Jon, I'm going to send him the bills, and I'll report back as to if he paid them.
Don't call this man for show shoeing. He willfully put more weight on this horse after I specifically told him not to do that. I found this out after the show shoes were removed, and the shoes were weighed.
My barn has surveillance, complete with a microphone, and there is no doubt as to what I told him, and what he ultimately did.
He also charged an arm an a leg for his shoes and services, which caused my horse physical damage.
