The complaint addressed by the previous victim was not about ten dollars a month. As a former member myself, the experience as a whole was not only misleading, but it was unenjoyable and unprofessional. Ms. Joy Adams clearly stated on several occasions that the members of the "cast" (as we were initially called) were going to be on local television, a step that would ultimately boost our entertainment careers. Needless to say this never happened.
As for the gas and photoshoot complaints, with the belief that we were going to be apart of a television series, inclusive of celebrity guests, crew, the whole nine; OF COURSE we didn't expect to have to pay for our own traveling and publicity expenses. And do not let this trick fool you, the money for the uninformative and uneffective website (membership fees), press kits (homemade), and various amounts paid to her for other randomness all went into her pocket. She is nothing but a two-bit hustling con-artist and she needs to be stopped.
As for her claims of uncooperation on our part, in the midst of having us safari throughout metro-atlanta, Ms. Adams cancelled the program on very unprofessional terms(by e-mail), with no voiced intension of restarting it. This left the remainder of the cast (many quit) very skeptical of her program. We started to realize the scantility of the whole thing and the number of cast members started to drop like flies. That's when the real Joy Adams came out. I still attempted to befriend her, even support the program by inviting my good friend, Ms. India Arie, onto the show. However, when her lack of business savvy proved more prominient than ever, I shut that endeavor down.
Please, listen to the majority here. I do not want this woman to get away with scamming anymore children. She is NOT sincere and she is NOT being honest about the situation.
