Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I am just adding to the several other reports regarding this scam.

I was in a job search.  Michael Mell contacted me via email saying he saw my resume at a job posting site.  He said he had a job that would be perfect for me to interview.  I responded to the email saying I would be interested, but to please clarify what the position is. I specifically said, "It will be a waste of both our time if it is Insurance Sales.  I am not interested in Insurance Sales at this time."  (Having received several such offers).  In response, I was told that there were several positions and he thought I would be a good candidate.  (Not really answering my question).  But, I (stupidly) scheduled the interview anyway.

Upon arrival it was a "cattle call" with close to 35 people there to be intereviewedat the exact time I had scheduled.  They made the mistake of splitting us into a few groups.  My group of about 10 ppl was seated in a conference room - we began talking.  We all realized that they had lured us all there saying that the EXACT position we were seeking was available (HR, Customer Service, Administrative, Marketing ... across the board).  So by the time the company rep walked in, everyone was pretty upset.  The first question, one women asked was, "So is this insurance sales?"  The rep stammered, but admitted yes.  All of us in that group got up and left.

But, this is were it gets even worse, in my opinion.  After returning home, I was annoyed and thought others should be made aware of this scam.  So I posted on the JSM Consulting Company Reveiw FaceBook page.  My post was not particularly nasty.  I said that Job Seeker needed to BEWARE.  I said, ask questions and find out EXACTLY what type of job is open.  And to be aware that it is likely Insurance Sales - so if they aren't interested in that, that they should not waste their time, as I did.

BTW, this rating site had nothing but glowing reviews posted.  I quickly found out why!

Within a couple of hours I received an email threatening me with legal action if I did not delete my "slander".  I wrote back saying it was not slander, it was an exact account of what happened, and a warning for others.  Not a word I said was untrue.  Then, I started getting additional emails threatening more legal action, also from their "supposed" legal department.  They gave me a specific time by which I had to remove any form of complaints, or I was going to be sued.

As a currently unemployed person, the last thing I needed was a legal battle ... so they intimidated me into deleting my FB post.  But I had also filed a complaint with the Wisconsin BBB before they started the threats.  So a day or 2 later JSM was apparently informedof my BBB complaint.  They once again started threatening me with legal action if I did not pull my BBB complaint.

At this point I was not going to be intimidated again.  I called an attorney friend and explained the situation.  He did a bit of investigating and could see many Rip-Off Reports and SCAM allegations having to do with this company and Michael Mell (the person emailing me) in particular.  My attorney sent an email to Mr. Mell letting him know that if he did not stop harrassing & threatening ME, that we would be the ones filing a lawsuit.

Needless to say, I never heard from Michael Mell or JSM Consulting again.

These people need to be stopped!  They are luring unemployed people in with false hopes.  (One poor women in our group had driven more than I hour to attend this interview - thinking it was an HR job).  Every job that they had available required that candidates become licensed to sell insurance!

If they have scammed you please report it to the Wisconsin Better Business Bureau.  And please DO NOT let them intimidate you.  Their threat of legal action is as false as the great jobs they have available.
