Was told in the interview with Tyson I would be getting $1,050 bi-weekly as a guarantee. All I had to do was show a product. Was not given any more information coming into the hiring process. It took til the third final day of training to find out I was being hired as a contractor, not an employee. And that I would be doing door to door sales. Also that the bi-weekly guarantee was only paid if I did 30 vacuum demonstrations in a 15 day period. None of this was mentioned upfront or in their advertisement whatsoever.
Going into the position Tyson will pitch you on the idea of becoming a manager (highly unlikely w/ only 9 people if that total in the co.), going on trips, winning bonuses, and recruiting friends to keep you at the job. Very similar to a con-trick, preying on your emotions to get you motivated so he can exploit you for his own personal gain. It shows in his demeanor, pathetically manipulative attitude and excessive use of profanity.
After he is finished degrading all his contractors including the new hires. It is time to go out on the job! Forget about getting to class on time or going to school at all, according to Tyson that is inferior to selling vacuums. Got kids? Pay them no mind, your on your way to becoming a millionaire! Plus good luck getting home before eleven-o'clock at night anyways.
But hey we're all different. If being treated like a disposable tissue happens to be your thing, it's safe to say this is the job for you!
