I was spammed by Mission 1 Funding to an email address that is only located on my website for companies that crawl websites for email addresses.

Mission 1 called me and told me they bought my lead from Juicy Leads. This company claims that I completed a form saying I wanted to refinance. I never filed any form out in regard to this matter. If you are thinking of buying leads - do not buy them from Juicy Leads.

I did not know he would go this far, but to let you know the email address that was crawled and sold to mortage companies was an email address that only is listed / hidden on my site to capture companies like this. The email address was something like [email protected]

Matthew - example of Spammer Rules #1 & #2

Rule #1: Spammers lie. * Russel's Admonition: Always assume that there is a measurable chance that the entity you are dealing with is a spammer. * Lexical Contradiction: Spammers will redefine any term in order to disguise their abuse of Internet resources. * Sharp's Corollary: Spammers attempt to re-define "spamming" as that which they do not do. * Finnell's Corollary: Spammers define "remove" as "validate." Rule #2: If a spammer seems to be telling the truth, see Rule #1. * Crissman's Corollary: A spammer, when caught, blames his victims. * Moore's Corollary: Spammer's lies are seldom questioned by mainstream media. ########################################### I, like hte OP have used many "spamtrap" accounts, so I know that they were gathered by "crawler" software by sapmmes. Even so, that I tag these email addresses so I KNOw that was the only way possible ot get them. Matthew, if the OP were to reveal her email, would you please provide the sign up information for that eamil address. That sign up information must include: * time and date of signup and from which "site" was the form filled out. Said site must have information on how to subscribe and unsubscribe from that list. * the IP of the computer that filled out that form * The confirmation from an email to the OP stating that "such and such email" signed up a "this site" on "this date and time", from "this ip", and if you would like to still be put on a list, plrease reply to this email and the information from that replied to EMAIL must include, time date, IP from which it was replied from If Matthew cannot provide any of this information, we can safely say that he proves Spammer Rule #1 and his reply to the OP is a classic EXAMPLE of Rule #2 Crissman's Corollary ######################################### For those who want to know all the Spammer Rules: Rule #0: Spam is theft. * Angel's Commentary: Spammers believe it's okay to steal a little bit from each person on the Internet at once. Rule #3: Spammers are stupid. ;) * Krueger's Corollary: Spammer lies are really stupid. * Pickett's Commentary: Spammer lies are boring. * Russell's Corollary: Never underestimate the stupidity of spammers. * Spinosa's Corollary: Spammers assume everybody is more stupid than themselves. * Spammer's Standard of Discourse: Threats and intimidation trump facts and logic. * James' Axioms of Spammers' Beliefs: o Bandwidth is infinite. It possible for infinite messages to occupy the same box at the same time. o The less value a message has, the more people want to see it. o The more someone is offended, the more likely they are to buy. o Reward is inversely proportional to the work done to earn it. Rule #4: The natural course of a spamming business is to go bankrupt. :D * Rules-Keeper Shaffer's Refrain: Spammers routinely prove the Rules of spam are valid.

#4REBUTTAL Owner of company

Mon, December 05, 2005

What you say is completely untrue. You said "I never filed any form out in regard to this matter." There is only ONE way to receive a call from any of our mortgage clients and that is to fill out a form. If you didn't fill out a form, it would be impossible to receive any calls. We do not crawl any website for email addresses to send advertisements to. Any data that we email is from a consumer opting in to an affiliate website, or from a number of purchased 3rd party lists in where you would have given permission to receive advertisements. It is really not a good habit to make unsubstantiated statements about companies who use all ethical practices and take extra efforts in eliminating that any of these situations would arise. If you had a problem with something you thought occurred as a result of this company you should take it up with us and make sure it is accurate before you post nonsense.
