Please save yourself time and money and stay away from Just Brakes!

At the suggestion of Jiffy Lube, I had to get my brake fluid filled. Found a nearby Just Brakes, assuming they must be a reputable company because they're a chain--ha!

They told me (oh so sweetly) on the phone the brake fluid change (adjust and bleed the brake system as their cute, little commercial goes) would take 15-20 minutes.

Basically, they kept me in a stranglehold telling me they couldn't put my wheels back on because they were so damaged, they just weren't sure how they were going to get them back on without changing my entire brake system. Any idiot could see through that one and I told them I don't have $300 to do that, so they'll have to figure out a way to put the wheels back on.

Then, Mike (oh so sweet on the phone) came back in and asked me if I'd like to change my brake pads at the very least and I agreed because it probably was time to do that and the price wasn't bad--stupid me!

All of this rigamarole took over an hour and I witnessed an argument between Just Brakes and a customer who was getting ripped off, but the real kicker is this--my brakes are squeaking worse than ever before--it's scary and now I'm having to schedule an appointment at another shop to have them see what the hell they did to my brakes.

I will be calling the news stations here in Phoenix to have them reported Valleywide--they aren't just practicing bad business, they're potentially endangering people's lives.

Yes You have to remove the wheels to bleed the system. Dealerships cheaper and more honest?????? What planet of happiness are you living on? They screw it up more so you will come back more, and charge you more. Do you people actually expect to pay $99.88 and have your crap fixed? What planet r u on I want to go there!!!!!!!!!

I do not know your connection to just brakes but you must be a employee. Your comments where very rude and WRONG. Brakes often squeak this can be a normal operation of the brakes. When they stoped making pads with asbestos they put more metal in the pads making them more noisy. If it was metal to metal you would replace the rotors and pads. Maybe even the calipers if needed. Kiki we need more information like what parts they wanted to put on how many miles on car total. I do not trust just brakes at all. They rip people off everyday. The dealer is cheaper and more reliable/honest than just brakes con men ripoff artists. PS new pads always are noisy as they shape to the small groves in your rotors they should quiet down in about two weeks. That is if just brake ripoff scam team did the work correctly.

First of all, pressing the piston back into the caliper would probably break the piston free, not bind it up more. Secondly, Kiki only needed her brakes bled. On most cars there is NO NEED to remove the wheels AT ALL to do this. I've done this job DOZENS of times. Third, her brakes are so damaged that the wheels can't be put back on? BULLSH_T!!! It DOESN'T HAPPEN!!! Fourth, Just Brakes probably installed those cheap organic pads, instead of bi-metallic pads, and that's why her brakes are squealing! Fifth, Are you a brake expert? Obviously not. (That sentence is from your crude post to Kiki.) Or maybe you are, but you are a CROOKED brake expert. Sincerely,

I'm sorry you didn't pay attention, Kiki... logic and facts will always prevail over unrestrained emotion.

First of all, Kiki, a brake shop would not offer a brake bleed, flush, or cleaning unless you give someone symptoms that could, i didn't say would, be remedied with such actions. Secondly, since I can't see the car, I can only speculate, that you probably had more problems than you thought. Are you a brake expert? Obviously not. Also, you're brakes squeaking worse is easily explained. In order to make room in the caliper for new pads, the piston must be depressed (properly, of course). If you do have a brake problem, such as a binding caliper, doing this can compound the problem. By the way, what repairs did you decline? AND, how can you blame a company for the condition of your car (that YOU are responsible for) when all they do is inspect the brake system (with your presence), tell/show you what's wrong, and what it'll take to fix it. Let this be an example for ALL consumers out there that act/think they know what they're talking about, when in reality they're 100 times more ignorant than they'll ever admit in public, that before you discredit or slander a reputable and exceptionally intelligent group of people like Just Brakes, ask questions---LOOK, LISTEN, TOUCH, SMELL---duh!!! If it looks like a horse, smells like a horse, and sounds like a horse, it's probably a --- HORSE!!! Fix your darn car and shut up.
