Kamlynn LLC Get Fit Simple, and Garcinia Cambogia Email Link Scam for Garcinia Cambogia bogus supplement makers' Website Scam to cash in on Dr.OZ diet craze St. George , Utah
I received an email that appeared to be from a friend at first glance. It was a simple message that read Fw: Site for (my name) with a link to a website promoting Garcinia Cambogia. The website refers to Dr. Ozs television show as endorsing this product. The website lists a price of $31.99 for a bottle or the option to purchase a membership for $48 and receive an unlimited supply paying only additional shipping fees. I choose the option for a one time purchase of one bottle.
Shortly after processing my order I received an email confirmation for my purchase. They charged me $159, plus signed
me up for a $9.95 monthly membership ship fee. I immediately called to cancel my order.
They tried to offer me 50% off with no questions asked. They refused to cancel my order and I said
that I would have to mail it back and pay a restocking fee. They refused to let me speak to a supervisor. I ended up calling 8 times before someone finally agreed to cancel my order. They gave me a cancellation number but
refused to email me a confirmation of the cancelled order. They advised me to wait 8-10 days for my
refund. During this time, they shipped the product to me. As it turns out, they never cancelled the order.
I contacted my friend to advise her that the link she sent was fraud. After she confirmed that she
did not send me the link, I went back to the original email. It appeared to be from her with her name on
it however, as I scrolled over her name I saw that it was not her email address.
The company name on my email receipt was Garcinia Cambogia, but it appeared on my bank statement as Get Fit Simple. The number on my email receipt was 877-763-0272; this was the number that I called several times and they would not cancel the order. A different number appeared on my bank statement 866-828-1125, this was the number I called (8th time)
where they claimed to cancel the order.
I looked up this number on the internet and the companys actual name Kamlynn LLC. They sell other products
besides Garcinia Cambogia. Beware of this company, they do business under various names. I would recommend doing a search on the toll free number listed on the website (if you can find it) before you make your purchase to ensure that you are not signing up for this scam. On top everything, they sold my information to a 3rd party who has been calling my house trying to get me to sign up for other programs and free gifts. This is not the appropriate way to
run a legitimate business.
