Something I found in the property inestors forum
Hi everyone,
I know there is a lot of hype around the so called '500 euro haus' auction being held by Karhasen next weekend but has anyone else worked out the smoke and mirrors behind this?
The auction seems to be a scheme set between Karhausen and Karl-Leo Spettmann, a real estate investor.
Basically on doing a bit of digging it is Karl who actually owns all the properties- he bought them from the German government in a 2011 deal, which was in the paper. and these are the properties that have issues with them.
The more I think about it, the more I wonder why Karl-does not want to keep them himself-as he is such a developer who can be easily found!
Also have to wonder why he has set up a limited company specifically to handle these sales- and is using a gmail account '[email protected]' and also they registered a website http://500euro-haus.de- all to distance this from the official business of Karhausen/Karl who will then both try to claim no responsibility after this, and then close down the site/gmail account? You cam planly see at the bottom of the 500 euro haus website Karls company and mailing adress as a point of contact- instead of the Karhausen house.
Also a large lack of pictures of the properties. For instance I did myself visit several properties that are open- the sale pictures paint them as nice but inside are vandalised and full of grafitti and squatters and junk. These pictures fail to make it to the site- and then the adverts are in 20 languanges so desperatley trying to attract oerseas bidders who didnt vist the property perhaps?
I guess I will be missing out on this one, there is obviously something really fishy about it and a lot of people are going to be losing their money. I guess we won't be seeing the regular investors at this one- they will be at the Friday and Saturday lots!

I thinking that this man know what he write about that, also karl probably bid on the phone to keep price good so be careful.....
