Kaspersky offers an anti-virus program, which I subscribed to back in 2012.  I paid for a two year subscription, but never gave any permission or authorization for this subscription to be extended.  Over the two years, I was very dissatified with the program and went to Norton for their anti-virus program.  Then today I received my Visa statement and there was a charge for $99.95 from this company for another two years subrscription.  I tried to reach them by phone, no luck.  I tried to contact their customer service online, still no luck.  I am disputing the charge through my bank, cancelled the credit card and took out a new one, just to make sure this doesn't happen again.  But I intend to go through all the "loops and hoops" in disputing this charge.  Stay away from this company.

Kaspersky connected with BestBuy

#2Consumer Suggestion

Most of autobillings set up by BestBuy. I used to work for them and know from experience that as long as your on auto billing, your not completely safe in some states and BestBuy gets away with it letting Trend, Kaspersky take the punches. Stopping the cards the first step. Keeping it out of Kaspersky and Trends hands is another. You see, BestBuy does its best to enforce contracted autobilling and here is how they do it. That $5.00 rewards card for spending even just $100 is to not only trick you into coming back to the store to spend more, its so moment you do spend more and use the rewards card they are now able to update this in their autobilling so don't be surprised following year if you still get charged on the new card while auto billing is in place and again from what I have read from other consumers, in some states BestBuy is allowed to do this and actually has gotten away with it too. If it's too late and you already used the new card ayt a BB, stop the card again. On, one last tidbit of important info. If you used a checking account with routing number, close that account and open a new one. I know buying new checks is a pain, but so is losing $120 to a scam. Most banks don't require to buy checks either and like me pay my bills with my debit card. I never give them my checking and routing number because even if they put a block on BestBuy and Kaspersky, or Trend, they have hundreds of other accounts they can use to auto Bill you.
