Kayak Pools Of East Coast liner was rotten when installed will not replace suppose to be a 15yr warrantywill not respond to us ripoff New York New York

my husband purchased the pool about 4 yrs ago we have only got to use it one season when it started tearing ,first were the pin hole leaks then got little bigger. we called kayak they did send a contractor out that one time, for this to be under warranty it sure costed us 250.00 just for him to come out drained the pool then he attempted to pull the liner away from the wall and tore it he then patched it up. it was stuck to the wall after that we tried numerous times to contact kayak they will not respond. now we have a pool in our back yard tha is growing weeds now because we cannot get them to stand behind their warranty to me this is a ripp off. we have children that would love to be able to use the pool but can't, we can not afford 1,000.00
for a liner that we have mortgage our home for. this is a shame , i wish i knew about how to do this 3 years ago. i've even contacted the catalog corp for kayak they said they could not help us that the message would be delivered to the main office in new york,

Kayak Pool Corp is the company that gives the warranty.Again as I stated this is a MGF warranty against defects only not pin holes!!! She can contact the MGF at 800 639 5292

That's exactly what she's complaining about - the water isn't staying in the pool. "The liner comes with a MFG's warranty for MFG defects only. This is standard in the industry.... Pin holes?? are not covered by the MFG" Most liner leaks start small and grow - just as she complains about (ESPECIALLY if the liner is stuck to the sides and cannot shift when it expands and contracts.) By your logic, no leak would EVER be covered under warranty! How nice. Also, I note you don't offer any information here for her to contact MFG about the problem! How nice again. "I am curious why Teresa feels she has been ripped off by Kayak East Coast!!" Because she claims to have purchased it from you folks, and I'll assume that you installed it or you hired a third party to install it. About liners: Because the liner will expand and contract with temperature changes, it is imperative that the liner NOT STICK to the side of the pool - she clearly states that it WAS STUCK and that the person who attempted to fix it ripped it because it was stuck. This would indicate to me that it was not installed properly (there are materials that can be applied to the inside of the pool so that the liner does not stick) - another reason for her to contact YOU. I seems to me she has a legitimate complaint with your business and your response here reinforces her position of not getting any support from you.

First off we do not install rotten or rotted liners. It would be pretty hard to install a pool and fill it with water and have the water stay in the pool with a bad liner!!! The liner comes with a MFG's warranty for MFG defects only. This is standard in the industry.... Pin holes?? are not covered by the MFG I am curious why Teresa feels she has been ripped off by Kayak East Coast!! All her warrantees are from the MFG. The katalogue company and MFG is one in the same. If she can't afford to purchase a new liner why is that KEC fault or the MFG for that matter I would be willing to try and help Teresa out so you should call our office. We also have "NOT" been servicing pools in the State of Georgia since 2001. The pool if it was installed by us is over 6 years old!!! I do think it is important that the consumers who use this site have their facts correct
