Everglades and Keiser Universities are affiliated, but they are NOT the same school!
I graduated from Everglades in April 2010 and--despite a few problems, was a happy student. Here are my responses to some of the allegations made by "Christine":
1. I was never called for being absent from class.
3. EU wasn't regionally accredited when I enrolled, but they finished their requirements while I was a student and were approved by the Southern Commission on Colleges and Schools on June 24, 2010; with accreditation being retroactive to January 1, 2010.
4. I am currently enrolled in another school in my home state and more than half my credits were tranferrable.
5. I did not hear of any students being "forced" into online classes when they didn't have computers, but having a computer is advised if you're not going to move to Florida to attend classes. (This should be common sense!)
6. I had friends who complained about the school and they still passed their classes like everyone else.
As for the rest of the complaints, they sound specific to Keiser University. I would look into Keiser before enrolling, but PLEASE DO NOT PAINT EVERGLADES UNIVERSITY WITH THE SAME BRUSH!
