I was using these things as an example not fact.
You posted those comments. You claim that knowledge of electronic fundamentals and Boolean algebra have NOTHING to do with computer repair. You are mistaken. Kindly tell us what you think they should have taught you.
I was not taught how to install a hard drive and nothing about software repair. You need to go to college to learn how to install a HDD? Are you serious? Most high school students can figure it out on their own. Software repair? How are you suppose to learn that if YOU DON"T HAVE THE BASIC COMPUTER FUNDAMENTALS? You have to start with the basics and then build up to more complex issues.
Do you really think that all there is to computer repair is changing a hard drive and reinstalling software? You sound like a perfect candidate for the Geek Squad!
Please keep your opinions to yourself if you don't know ALL the facts!!
If you don't want comments, then don't post in a public forum.
So you use these things everyday??
Yes. I WORK in computer/electronics repair EVERY DAY. I don't care for these for profit "colleges" at all. The reason I commented was because of your comment that "how electricity flows" and Boolean algebra have nothing to do with computer repair-nothing further from the truth. If you will not accept that you need to learn these basics, then you need to find a different career path because you will not be successful at computer repair.

They spent most of this course teaching me useless things like how electricity flows and bulian algebra, none of which had ANYTHING to do with computer repair!
How electricity flows has NOTHING to do with computer repair? Really? Boolean (not bulian) algebra has NOTHING to do with computer repair?
If you don't know these basics, you'll never be successful fixing computers. I've been in the electronics/computer repair business for over 30 years. You think you can fix computers without knowing anything about digital logic and how the circuitry works? Wow!
Please tell us what you believe they should have been teaching you instead of these basic fundamentals?
