14 yrs. ago kevin garber carpentry unlimited built 20 ft by 24ft addition on my home. Called garber to onlt get ans.mach. four times with no responce. THE ROOF WAS BUCKLING UP IN MANY AREAS DUE TO FAULTY MATERIAL & WORKMANSHIP. It cost me over seventeen hundred dollars to have a reponsible contractor replace the roof. shingles alone should have lasted at least 20 yrs. the plywood indefinately!

Wait a minute here. You said he built this addition 14 years ago & you havent had a problem until now. What Kind of warranty do you think you have. The 20 year Warranty on Shingles is for MATERIAL DEFECTS. Otherwards if the Materials breaks down on the shingles in less than 20 years you get Replacement Shingles Pro-rata for what you have already used. (I.E. 14 years worth) You dont get FREE LABOR to replace them. Also I dont know of any LIFETIME WARRANTY on plywood. You need to get a dose of REALITY & quit thinking you should get something for nothing. Sounds like teh Contractor did his job & you are just whining cause you want something for nothing. People like you are the REAL RIP-OFF !!!!
