Kia is reneging on their 10yr/100,000 mile warranty. We purchase a Kia Rio Cinco in January of 2005.My wife and I were confident that this would a great vehicle to purchase backed by such a powerful warranty. Now 4 1/2 years and 78,813 miles later, the engine has seized up due to the timing belt. I had my vehicle serviced religiously.

The oil was changed every 3,000 miles instead of the 7.5 months according to the owners manual. The timing belt was changed at 59,380 miles. Now that my car is at the dealership, they have denied my claim stating that the timing belt was never changed. Indeed the belt was changed in April of 2008 with receipts to prove.

The allegations of the dealership calling my mechanice a "crook" and that he "ripped us off" is appalling.I watched him change the timing belt, he actually handed it to me when he removed it. This mechanic has been in the profession for 30yrs and is ASE certified. We were also accused of not maintaining are vehicle properly?? I gave the dealership 4 1/2 years worth of receipts containing oil changes,new battery,new tires and timing belt installation.

My wife and I have been verbally abused and talked to in a threaten manner by both assistant service managers John Piscatelli and Raymond Dimperio from Loman Ford/Kia of Woodbridge,NJ.

Mr Piscatelli dropped the "F" bomb at me during a phone conversation which was overheard by 2 witnessess. He also accused my wife and I, that we did not maintain our vehicle propery. And he also had the audacity to call my mechanic "a crook" and "that he ripped us off". And as for Mr. Dimperio who has the emotional level of a 19yr old jock on steriods, told me over the phone that I was a "telephone toughguy" and if I had problem he was working till 4p.m.

I was also charged a $99.00 diagnostic fee after Mr. Piscatelli told me there would be no fee.
