Kingsway Financial Trust North American Sweepstakes, don't deposit that check Ripoff Niagra Fall Ontario Canada
I recieved a letter in a plain white envelope with a Regions Bank cashier's check for $975. The letter stated that I had won $25,000 from the North American Sweepstakes. All I had to due was deposit this check "IMMEDIATELY" and send the cash to one of my claim agents Danny Smith or Debra Jones for insurance reasons.
I contacted Mr. Danny Smith (who had a strong foreign accent to have the name Danny Smith) who told me to deposit the check on Monday and call him on Wed. when the check had cleared and he would give me further instructions on where to send the money to.
I did a little research and discovered that several people have received similiar letter and it turned out to scams. I did my duty and filed a complaint on the FBI site; however, I understand that these cons are next to impossible to catch. Maybe if they recieve enough complaints something will happen.
