Kirby Vacuum Sales Slugs Kirby Sales rude, unprofessional, and left mess at my elderly mother's home! Pewaukee Wisconsin
June 3, 2009 Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Kirby salesperson rings the doorbell at my elderly mother's home and offers to clean one area of her carpeting for FREE. In the meantime, the sales/demo person proceeds to meander throughout the home and extract the "filth and debris" that is apparently residing in my mother's carpeting and furniture.
As the long, drawn-out filth-fest continues, the 'sales manager' attempts to strong-arm my mother into purchasing the wonder-Kirby-miracle machine for a mere $2300. My mother stated that she could not afford to purchase such a high-priced item, resulting in some snarky comments about her living with the filth and mites.
The worst part was that the sales/demo slug left approximately 50, yes, FIFTY, dirty disks (about the size of a teacup saucer) throughout the home. On her counters, on her bed, on furniture and carpeted areas in just about every room of her home... left for an elderly woman (who presently needs the assistance of a cane) to pick-up and dispose. That action is despicable, unethical, and predatory!
I am calling the Better Business Bureau, as well as the City Hall to file a formal complaint. After that, I will contact local media to bring light to this problem. I am aware of many complaints about this activity from the Kirby sleezeballs in the past - maybe it is time to refresh the public's memory - WARNING! WARNING! The only thing Kirby will provide is a hassle and a mess, *unless* you buy one of their overpriced vacuum cleaners!!!
