I began my kitchen project almost a year ago (1/27/05). It is now 12/29/05 and due to numerous issues with my KRAFTMAID (KRAPMAID) cabinets that I purchased through the local Lowes I still don't have a complete kitchen. Their attention to detail and their lack of quality control have turned what was to be a much needed up grade to my home into a nightmare.

The intitial delivery of cabinets arrive on a 52ft trailer my 26 or so pieces work mixed with numerous other pcs for other jobs and it took 1.5 hours and they ended up 2 pcs short. They returned the next day with those pcs. The packaging was so poor that several pcs were damaged in transit and the workmanship was so poor that several pcs had to be reordered due to poor finish, joint not being properly set in the jig when glued and obvious blemishes in the wood that had been stained and varnished over.

Upon every delivery of replacement parts there were more damages and poor workmanshipI had to use up 12 days of my vacation to accomodate either deliveries of product that continued to arrive either flawed or damaged or numerous install to try to piece my kitchen together. My wife myself and my 2 small kids went for 8 months washing our dishes in a tub in our bathroom and eating out due to us not having an operational kitchen wich to use. Even when I was assured by the kraftmaid reps that they were triple checking my cabinets prior to shipping I continued to have product that arrived either half finished, or with obvious defects prior to staining.

On one occasion I even received product that was white and my finsish was maple. This whole experience has been a nightmare from the beginning and I have more money into my time and expense in making accomodations due to not having a kitchen then the cabinets I purchased are even worth.

Well my project is nearing its end after only 1 year...And I must admit that Lowes true to what they claim has made things right..This was a project that was dragged way out due to KRAFTMAIDS lack of quality control poor customer service and basic dis regard to customers with issues...All of wich were beyond the control of Lowes but they stepped forward and ensured that in the end i truely was taken care of...Hats off to Lowes...
