Krishan Sharma, Dentists Without Borders Dont Believe Krishan Sharma's fraudulent investment schemes! Calgary Alberta
In 2003 I was working as an Assistant Professor at Nova Southeastern University and had just finished writing a business plan for a company called ScriptAlerta genetic testing service. A colleague of mine introduced me to Krishan Sharma when he learned of my business plan and we had lunch with Krishan Sharma.
Not only did he want his name on the plan with a percentage of the shares, Krishan Sharma convinced me that he could get a group of real estate investors in Calgary to invest in Scriptalert if I first invested money with their real estate group. I sent $10,000 to Krishan and never saw the money again.
In fact, he tried to get me to write checks as eloans to Dentists without borders. Thankfully, I never did.
At the time, Krishans daughter Angela Anita Sharma was in the fourth year of dental school at NSU and Krishan was desperately trying to get her into the graduate Orthodontics program. He met with the Dean of Dentistry and asked me to meet with the Chancellor of NSU of which I did. Krishan also contacted the local newspaper and told them of the wonderful charity his daughter had organized and the two of them planned a trip to Guatemala with Larry Jensen of DO-CARE, Osteopathic medical students and faculty who provide free health care to poverty stricken areas. When Krishan and his daughter found out she wasnt in the Ortho grad program they cancelled their trip to Guatemala.
From 2003 to spring of 2007, the Dentists Without Borders website (www.dentistswithoutborders.org) used photos taken of the members of the DO CARE teams and not Dentists without Borders. Krishan obtained the photos from Larry Jensen who took teams of students to Central America.
Before Krishan bailed on the trip, I thought Dentists without Borders was legitimate and I was actually trying to raise money for the organization so we could buy an RV and provide sealant for poor elementary students in rural Florida. Krishan wasnt interested in the RV and wanted Big Money as he would say. He informed me that he had political connections with someone in Homeland Security and wanted me to write a grant for mobile Dental Vans for Afghanistan. I felt he was getting a little nutty at this point and I tried to avoid his incessant phone calls from Calgary.
When I asked to get my $10,000 back the next year he kept delaying and delaying. I eventually got two lawyers to contact him and I paid one lawyer hundreds of dollars but to no avail. Krishan refused to pay the money and he never poked his head around NSU after that and I never received the investment money. You can see his attached receipt of the money for real estate.
