Back in April 2013 approached this company represented by Kristina Andersen, who described herself as a chartered accountant and tax specialist, to bring our outstanding accounts up to date.
She required a $2000.00 retainer before undertaking work. We were desperate before heading overseas to get this addressed, and have someone contact the inland revenue department on our behalf while away, in the understanding that when we returned would furnish all documentation for Ms Andersen to then work on.
On our return and approaching Ms Andersen with documentation, she was unable to attend to us - due to being "unwell" - this being "unwell"
seemed to be ongoing for a few weeks, we finally were instructed to drop all our documentation at some office in Auckland, which we did in person and thought it quite strange that she did not have any Company name or indication that she operated from that location evident.
Anyway the upshot was - for two Months she did nothing with our documents, would not return calls or emails and we could never get her on the phone.
Then she did send some form of report - just a spread sheet, which had figures pulled from never never land - and profits shown that we knew were way off the planet. When approached about these obviouse errors - it all became our fault. We did not give her the documents soon enough and they were incomplete.
She then sent us a scathing and rude letter - making accusations of tax evasion and all sorts of nasty things.
Then we did a google search - pity we had not done one before, as learnt that she had been struck off quite recently as a lawyer - doing to clients exactly what she did to us. Take on work, take payment, do nothing - make excusses of being unwell.
We also found out that she was not a chartered accountant. Although this woman probably means well, she was certainly not a well person when we took her on as an accountant in 2013 - and it would seem from this latest report in 2017 not much has changed.

I approached Kristina Andersen for student loan advice after being made an offer by the IRD. Kristina was very quick and professional and she set out my options. She said that if I wanted to settle with the IRD that the offer they had made was within the range to be expected. She told me that she did not recommend that I pay her a fee to negotiate with the IRD as it was not necessary. Not only did she refuse a further fee but she told me that she would be happy to act behind the scenes at no additional cost. I settled with the IRD with Kristina advising me in the background. I have no hesitation in recommending her services to anyone with student loan debt. I have found her to be honourable and honest.
