Lady's legacy a board member are extremely unreliable and extremely unprofessional. Their volunteers work 10 hours a day 5-7 days a week and the board members make promises they cannot keep nor do they intend to I was personally affected my this in a very bad way and never got to resolve the issue because the board members blocked me and wouldn't reply Their barn manager is completely incompetent and unfit to be in that position No matter how hard you work it all goes unnoticed

I've been with LLER for a very long time now and I was there when this individual was "volunteering". The author of this post is a 16 year old kid. She was welcomed with open arms despite her emotional breakdowns and complete disrespect for the owners, managers and other volunteers. Many times I witnessed the owners consolling this child and making her feel at home  when nobody else would. The owners purchased a mustang, privately, not for the rescue, as a personal horse for themselves. This child was told she could work with him if she wanted too because she liked the breed. Never once was it said that he was hers. She is a kid and the way kids work, she became completely unmanageble. Stealing his halters, so that nobody could work with him besides her INCLUDING THE ACTUAL OWNERS OF THE HORSE. This is unnaccepable behavior and will not be tolerated. This behavior was not condusive to the well being of the animal. This volunteer was asked to leave when she failed to water the horses on one of the hottest days in the summer, despite being asked SEVERAL times to do so. Her duties included VOLUNTEERING at a horse rescue, not sitting around staring at the mustang all day. You need to work, just like every other volunteer did, to earn those privileges. The sense of entitlement that children have these days is completely ridiculous. This horse is now thriving in the hands of a capable, willing and respectful volunteer; who understands that in order to receive those privileges, you need to actually volunteer to help keep the rescued horses healthy, happy and safe. All volunteers are required to sign contracts, stating that they will not participate in media slander, social media slander and most importantly slandering the rescue, that rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes these horses. For someone who was so supportive of the rescue, it is sad to see that you would breach the contract you and your mother signed, to harm the horses. You are not harming the owners, managers or volunteers by posting this, you're only hurting the horses who are in their care by spreading lies to discredit what they do.

On a side note: All of the owners and managers are MORE then qualified for the positions they hold. The statement that they are not qualified, coming from a child who has never worked, owned or managed an equine business in her life, is a joke.
